:banana:Booked a trip to Disneyland April 2-6 with my sister, her kids, and my son to celebrate her last week of chemotherapy and the kids spring break . Decided to look at the calendar to see when Easter is this year as in the past it has fallen in March.....it is April 5th! With that said I was bummed at first as we will be away from my husband/family/home first time for Easter and thinking how Disneyland may be packed :sad2:. After informing everyone I decided to turn it into a positive :)! Is there anything Disney does special for Easter as that is one of our days we will be in the park? Have done Disney Halloween and had a blast 2yrs ago. Thanks for any info

Mousesavers has a nice summary of the things that DLR did last year for Easter.

In general, they don't do a lot of Easter, but there were a few activities. They have not yet announced if they are doing the Jamboree Area or Egg hunts again this year, but I'm hopeful that they will. I'm also pretty sure there will also be some spring-themed treats (e.g., cookies, cupcakes).

Thank you!

The egg hunt sold out before Easter the last 2 years, so if it's available and you want to do it, definitely fit it in as soon as possible. Just be aware that LAUSD has the week before Easter off and April 6th for Cesar Chavez Day. In years when those don't coincide the parks can be very crowded on CCD. Not sure if this will spread it out more evenly this year, or if there will be a larger uptick in crowds on the Monday.

Thanks SMD. What is LAUSD and Cesar Chavez Day? Sorry from Washington State

LAUSD is Los Angeles Unified School District, the largest school district in California. The students are not in session on April 6th in honor of Cesar Chavez. DLR appears to be expecting the peak "Spring Break"-season crowds the week before and after Easter because that is when the SoCal/SoCal Select spring blockout occurs.

Last year at Easter.. they did in the Jamboree are a Rabbit theme.. they had all the Disney Rabbits out... for meet and greats.. it was so much fun.. if they are doing that again this year.. it would be worth your while to head on over if you have the time..

Thank you! Guess we will make the best of it with dealing with big crowds.
