Easter at Disney

Planning a trip for April 2019 right before Easter. I’ve never been around that time and was wondering what there was for different Easter activities around Disney world? I’ll be traveling with my 8 year old daughter and 60 year old mother. We are looking for some suggestions of things to do if there are any seasonal things available at the time? I’m thinking the crowds will be nuts for the holiday/spring break week so open to ideas outside the parks to escape the madness for periods of time. We are very active group that loves to explore and see all the mouse has to offer!

We went over Easter weekend in mid-April 2017 and crowds were not crazy. In addition to park touring, we enjoyed going to Easter service at the Contemporary resort on Easter morning, and we enjoyed looking at the large, detailed Easter eggs at the CR, too. After service on Easter Sunday we went to Epcot, which was peaceful and fun. We did the self-guided Easter egg hunt in the World Showcase, which I recommend.

Fantasia mini-golf is always fun, as is time spent at the resort pool and the Disney water parks.
