We ahve ressies at BWV's for Easter week.We got this week every year. This week the airfares are out of control. It is always expensive but the rates now are crazy.Any NY DVCers advuse alternate ariports or ailrlines for a decent rate that does not become a 9 hour trip through Dalls?

I don't know if this helps, but I did a quick search on the American Airlines site, specifying NON-STOP leaving the NYC area on April 1 and returning on April 8.

I got two options going out, non-stop, at $184 and $282.

Returning from MCO on 4/8, I had multiple flights, all non-stop, from $154 to $262.

So that's $338-$544 with non-stop (3 hour) flights each way.

[ETA -- those prices were from and to JFK]

If you go to one of the travel sites and look for the cheapest flights, they will often give you some really UGLY connections. But if you go to the airline site, you'll usually get MUCH better flights at the same price.

did you try southwest airlines. they dont come up on the multiple searches you have to go to www.southwest.com i just got 89 each way non stop easter week no baggage fees and no change fees. wdw also has resort check in for this airline. i love them they are the best.

We're going down and back the week before Easter and I got good fares on roundtrip non-stop flights on Jet Blue ($209 pp) from Washington. Their schedule is out thru the end of April. Both AT & SW are out thru April 9th (just released this past week) and I think SW will have another release date on Oct. 3rd to extend their dates past April 9th (which means AT probably will too). You could look into Jet Blue or book 1-way for now on AT or SW and then grab the return flight on Oct 3rd.

Check Tampa, only an hours drive from WDW and flights can be cheaper going in to that airport.

We went in and out of Tampa once, I don't recommend it. Traffic was an issue when we did it.

I would look at kayak and then click the add nearby airports. It may help. Once we were able to find airfare to Fort Worth from Ithaca NY for appx $350 cheaper than Syracuse, NY

South West flies out of MacArthur in Islip. I have never used them, I like jet blue and JFK but my parents always used them bc their rates are usually great.

Yes I would check southwest. We are going from 4/3 (Tuesday before Easter) to 4/10 (Tuesday after). I was unable to book 4/10 because those flights aren't open yet, but I got our flight going down for $89 each ($110 including fees).

OK I finally got a decent rate on Delta LGA to TPA.Leaving the time we want.Non stop.

We have flown into and out of TPA before and have not had any problems.Although traffic is always a concern.

Yesterday it was $333 PP.Today back to $545.

Got using Howire alerts.Booked through AMEX and used some points.

JETBLUE wanted $3,800 RT for the four of us!!!

I will not travel Saturday to Saturday during that week -- the airfare is more than double. Last year, we flew out on a Wednesday (my son missed the last 3 days of school before the break) and then flew back on the Thursday before Easter. Our airfare was about $350/pp from Newark. The flights from Saturday to Saturday was over $750/pp. :scared1: I will continue to do that in the future - our next Spring break trip will be in 2013.
