Easter 2006

Hi -

has anyone heard anything about Easter festivities. I haven't seen anything for 06 on either the official site or on DLRP magic. Maybe there's no special plans, as dates seem to have been already released for festivals later in the year. (We're arriving Easter Monday for four nights)

I've just had a look in the new brochure Andy and all it mentions (apart from Halloween & Christmas) is Carnival from February to mid-March and Summer Magic from May to September so it looks like they aren't doing any Easter celebrations this year which is a shame.

Unfortunately the Easter Festival hasn't been mentioned at all for 2006. I'm not sure why - maybe they wanted to focus on fewer seasons?

I think they also want the focus to be on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast too. Because everything's later this year (dates wise), they maybe don't want to waste money on Easter stuff when Buzz will be there to draw the crowds anyway.

You never know, the Easter stuff from last year could still appear, but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't!

Yes I wondered if Buzz might be the reason too. we'll be happy with that though, the Easter Bunny will have visited our house before we leave, and we loved Buzz in WDW.

In the Shareholders magazine it mentions St Patrick's day for March so along with Buzz that appears to be the the promotions for Easter

I emailed DLRP (UK office I guess) the other day regarding Easter. Am awaiting response. Once available I'll post it.

So....I dunno really what that means - suggest they will be doing something for Easter, but maybe not the full 'season' as before...perhaps I'm reading too much/too little into their reply.
