Easily booked an April cruise on points

We decided to go to Florida (need to escape this winter) and I was please to find it was easy to book a cruise on points. Because it's only a few months away, I didn't want the hassle of renting points. It's a few hundred dollars more than if I'd rented the points and paid cash, but so much easier.

They also said they had rooms in every category available for points -- which surprised me on two fronts: That the boat was still wide open for an April cruise, and that we could do it on points at such short notice, especially after a couple years ago where they put DVC point cruises on hold for months.

We are in FL now to avoid Ohio weather, and will end our time here with a cruise!

Enjoy your DCL cruise! Glad it was available!

Adding 2 new Disney ships has really opened up availability, and the cruise industry seems to have a surplus of inventory.

We booked ours in Nov as well Magic 4 nights for Spring break.. MANY choices. :D

:cheer2: congrats to you!

I think DCL is consistently pricing themselves out of the market. We're going now because we want our 12-year-old to see the Lab on the Dream, as he is not probably an "Edge" kind of guy at this point.

But after that, we'll likely switch to Royal Caribbean's Liberty/Freedom ships.
