Easiest way to pool hop?

Yep, water taxi. Take taxi to CW then get on boat to another resort.

If going to or coming from Cabana Bay, take the bus to/from City Walk then follow water taxi information from Mac and Bluer to get to the others.

to be clear - water taxi's won't go from hotel to hotel? I'll have to go RPR to CW, then take a water taxi from CW to the next hotel? It's our first time at Universal and I had a similar question. Kids really want to go to Hard Rock's pool for some strange reason. LOL

If we have a car, can we drive there and will parking be included since we'd already paid it at our own resort?

We pool hopped from RPR to HR in August 2014. We opted to walk and let me tell you...it was H-O-T HOT and I didn't think we were ever going to get there. We caught the boat going back and I think we did have to switch boats at CW but I am not 100% sure. I would highly recommend the boat, driving your car or they do have rickshaws you can take on the walking path between resorts. I believe you can drive and park at the other resorts without having to pay. I have seen that question before and do not remember anyone ever saying they had to pay.

Yes, CW is like the main hub, everything leads there.

Just take the boat. It's very easy and relaxing.

In order to get the hotel parking fee waved since you are pool hopping, you need to go to the front desk at your hotel or to the hotel where you are hopping, to have it waved by a manager

correct. As Damo said, CW is the hub. Once you get there it will be more clear to you. It's hard to figure out from satellite view maps.

I personally, because I don't like lines and do like moving, would almost certainly just walk. DH and DS would be irritated with me for doing that, and would either go along with it and grumble the whole way OR would take the boat and think it's hilarious that they beat me by 2 seconds. :)

HRH pool made me feel ancient, but there were a lot of younger people there seemingly having a great time. The pool SLIDE seemed great.

I will let you know, though (to set expectations), that the actual *swimming* ability in the pool is minimal, because it's so shallow. I mean really shallow. The only deep part is under the slide and you can't stay there. HRH pool is for lounging in and around, for the pool slide, and for looking cool. It's not really for proper swimming.

If anyone wants to SWIM, go to Portofino's Villa pool. :)

So true
Hrh pool is about 4' at the slide area

Pool not one for swimming but lounging

At HRH I barely get my knee caps wet.

Thank you got that information! Good to know

Awesome advice. We will be at rpr at the end of August and I'm curious about the pool at Saphire Falls. Wondering how far the walk between these 2 sites will be instead of taking the boat to CW and then connecting.

We've asked at our resort at the time (RPH) a few time sand were told there was no free parking when using the pool @ CB. Others have stated they drove to the resort and asked nicely and were accommodated. JMHO it either should be automatic or not:rolleyes1.

Pool hopping in general is far too much effort for us lol. We have taken a shuttle from RPH to PBH, but during a protein spill when home resort pool's was closed. No idea if it's offered at other times or not.

Judge me by my size? Haha depth not an issue to swim or float in a pool (well, maybe for bluer, he's as tall as a tree:)) Note none of the onsite ones are set up for diving. It's moreso the many bodies in the pools that hamper swimming. PBH has several pools, your best bet to find a quiet one to do laps, etc. if that's your objective.

I'm pretty sure my entire body was submerged at HRH pool. That was back in 2005. I mean I'm short, but am I that short? Sheesh....
I really don't have that much memory of it. I think I did the slide.. Think.

the deepest section of the pool is at the slide area.

thought it was 4ft or 4 and a half feet.

a few years back we had a discussion of the depth of the hrh pool (and other 2 hotels pools)

could be some measured the depth for me to remember that number.
when i was in that pool, it was not deep

do a search and see if you can bring it up to see what was stated for hrh

If that's directed at me I don't actually care. Was just making a short joke at myself. I am exceptionally short as you may find out this year. I will do some investigation for future reference though.

.....not finding anything via phone. Will look again tomorrow on PC. Only turned up on trip advisor review that said at its deepest it's 3'. Will looks later.

What is the easiest way to pool hop from Universal resort to Universal resort without a car?

PBH > HRH 5 minute walk (cross Universal Blvd at crosswalk)
RP > CB 5 minute walk (avoid the path and walk past Emeril restaurant)

I always hit the bottom coming down the slide, lol. Even in RPR I can walk on my knees.
