Easiest way to get to DTD from parks and back?

We would like to have a late lunch/dinner at Downtown Disney. We will be at Animal Kingdom that afternoon and would be going from there. After eating at DTD, we plan to go to Hollywood Studios. What would be the best way to get there? I am aware that there are no buses from parks to Downtown Disney. :-(

There are several options, the easiest of which is a taxi but obviously, that costs money. This is what I would do:

1) Take a bus from AK to SSR, OKW or POR. Then take the boat over to DTD. Or if you are at SSR, you can walk over pretty easily.

2) Take a bus from DTD to one of the Epcot area resorts and then walk or take the boat to DHS. Alternatively, you could boat or walk back to one of the DTD resorts and take a bus to DHS.

From AK to DTD...bus to AKL, transfer to DTD bus there.
From DTD to DHS...bus to BW then walk or boat to DHS.

You can always take the bus to SSR from AK, and then walk over to DTD, or take their bus, or boat.
From DTD to DHS, again, you can always use SSR as a transfer resort.
