easiest way to get Avis car after getting off ship

We have the car reserved for the day since our plane doesnt leave till 7pm. Would it be easier to stay on the ship and let others do the rush? Or would we be missing out on our choice of car? Standing in longer line at Avis anyways? Any suggestions on how best to get the car? We can rush or not.

I personally would NOT rush! Relax and enjoy your last morning on the ship -- and savor every last minute that you can! We had late seating -- which meant late breakfast seating the day of debarkation. That was perfect! While the early seating breakfast had a crowd waiting in the lobby to debark -- by late seating the crowd had thinned out and we could walk off at our leisure. Even if you have early breakfast --- skip the crowds and walk around the ship for the last time until the crowds die down a bit -- then disembark peacefully.

Gather up your luggage ---- and consider having hubby take either the Radisson shuttle or the Avis shuttle over and pick up the car. He can then come back and pick up you, DS and the luggage. Alot easier than dragging all of that luggage over to AVIS.

I agree with the non rushing, but we have done the Avis 2xs and this year, because our luggage was deposited in the middle of the parking lot, security reasons, and we could not wait at the terminal, I think it is easier to just load up the luggage and everyone go to Avis. The driver helps you load, and if you don't go with you will be standing in the sun waiting for return. Much better to be all together. Plus you do need to show ID to return to terminal, did not know how easy it would be for hime to return, since you already cruised.

This past March we got off the ship around 8:30 a.m and DH took shuttle to pick up our car. He was back to pick us up by 8:50 a.m. and we were in Disney by 10 a.m.! For us it seemed alot easier to just stay with the luggage and sit on the bench rather than dragging kids and luggage to shuttle.
