Easiest TS meal from Fort Wilderness?

Family of 12, with 8 kids (ages 1-14) flying in and use DME, so using Disney transportation. Staying in the Cabins. Flight lands at 3pm. Which of the monorail resorts are the easiest to get to from FW? Thinking Chef Mickey's would be fun for them, or Ohana. But need to visualize who they will get to one of the monorail resorts. TIA!

Easiest to get to would be Contemporary as you can take a boat from Ft. W directly to Contemporary, so Chef Mickey's would be easy to get to. You could also take a boat to Whispering Canyon at WL (not on the monorail, but easy to get to). If you want to eat at O'hana, you could take the boat to Contemporary and then hop on the monorail to Poly. Then take the monorail to MK and take a boat back to Ft. W from there.

Easiest of the monorail resorts would definitely be the Contemporary.

I'd also suggest taking the boat to Wilderness Lodge and having dinner at Whispering Canyon. Way better food than Chef Mickeys, at a much lower cost, and lots of fun and shenanigans for everyone to enjoy.

Easiest would be Chef Mickey's or Whispering Canyon which could be fun, but I think that Ohana would be my choice for the bread pudding desert alone.

Is there a reason that you want a monorail resort restaurant? There is Trail's End buffet at Fort Wilderness and HoopDeeDo Review. We always go to HDDR on arrival day.
Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is great, I'm not a big fan of Chef Mickey's.

Trail's End would be our choice. Since it's close by, that would cover you in case anyone gets in late.

I was going to say... Trail's End is the obvious, here. It is the TS at Fort Wilderness.

Trails Inn gets great reviews. I would try that for arrival night. It iwll be an easy internal bus ride to dinner. (You would still need the internal bus to get to the boat for the monorail restaurants)
