Easiest ADRs

By the Garden Grill, do you mean the one in the Land? I would think that would be hard.

But, there is one in the Swan/Dolphin hotel. I would try that one if I just had to see some characters! We ate there years ago and it was good then. They have also mentioned it recently on the podcast.:thumbsup2

Few things we've learned over the years (keeping in mind that the time of year you're going effects pretty much everything)...

Lunch is easier to get than dinner. And some places lunch goes to 3:30 or 4, so you could call it an early dinner. The other plus is that some places have the same menu for both, but it's actually a few $ cheaper for "lunch" - especially at DTD restaurants.

Some resorts are easier to get than others. In particular, try some of the ones that aren't directly around MK/EP. Check out the menus section here to scout around for something that sounds good to you.

DTD restaurants tend to be easier than parks - especially during off hours. We've walked into Pucks any number of times with no wait at all (although this is tougher on the weekends)

Shoot for the "ends" of the dining window instead of the traditional meal times. Early/late dinners are sometimes easier to get than between 6-8pm.

Never hurts to try calling that day or the day before and seeing what's available. Cancellations happen... a LOT. I was able to switch a California Grill ressie from 9:55 to a much more manageable 8:00 the same morning. :thumbsup2
We've walked into Restaurant Marrakesh lots of times. Never had a wait there. Food is good (love everything there - especially the lemon chix), although it's a bit loud.

Check out the restaurant listing at the kiosk in HS (right at the end of the main drag as you're walking in). We once walked up at 12:20 and got a 1pm for lunch at Prime Time.

I have NEVER made an ADR more than a week out (usually I make them the night before or the day of) and I've eaten at loads of table service...

Liberty Tree Tavern
Tony's Town Square
Plaza Restaurant
Crystal Palace
Garden Grill
San Angel Inn
Akershus
Tutto Italia
Nine Dragons
Restaurant Marrakesh
Les Chefs de France
Rose and Crown
Tusker House
Sci-Fi Dine-In
50's Prime Time Cafe
Hollywood and Vine
Brown Derby
Cape May Cafe
Shutters
Boatwright's
Ohana
Kona Cafe
Trail's End
Olivia's

So DO NOT give up...people cancel all the time. I got a late lunch ressie for the princess lunch at Akershus TWO HOURS before the reservation time because I decided to call from my resort room on a whim. The only one I have been trying and trying to get and have no luck with is CRT...oh well, some day...

I got LTT the day of for lunch one time. The front desk at our resort booked it for me. I also walked into Boatwrights for breakfast on my last trip. Both of these were in June.

We just made a 7:40 ADR for Cape May Cafe on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend...no prob!

We also just cancelled Brown Derby on 5/19 for 7pm (change of plans, unfortunately) -- so if you act fact you could grab that one.

I'd try the Crystal Palace, too...I've had luck getting ADRs for slightly off times (really late breakfast or lunch), and the food is delicious.

Good luck and have a great trip!

We went for an unexpected spur of the moment short trip in Dec. We were able to get Boma for dinner, CP for dinner, Biergarten for lunch and Rainforest for lunch at AK. This was also our first trip to WPE which we now plan to do every trip. We all three thought it was the best CS meal at Disney.

I think Cape May Cafe character breakfast is relatively easy to get reservations. We've been there a couple times and the restaurant wasn't full. One day we got one first thing in the morning for that same morning.
