Please forgive me if there is a thread on this topic (there probably is, I guess), I have tried searching many times and either come up with nothing, or that the engine isn't working.

There are a couple days that dh will not be able to go to the parks with us during our stay at the Dolphin. We have been there before, and *hated* the bus trip to MK but *loved* the boat to MGM/Epcot.

I am wondering how feasible it would be to take a boat (or walk, for that matter) from the Dolphin to Epcot, then hop on the monorail to MK. My kids are 2.5 and 4, and they actually enjoy the boat and the monorail, so I am thinking that it would be fun for them.

IIRC, Dolphin/Swan are the last stops before MK... in which case maybe I should consider this boat/monorail plan for on the trips back to the hotel, so we don't have to sit through drop offs at Downtown Disney, etc.

TIA!

No matter how much you hate busses, I think you'll still be happier taking the bus to MK rather than what you suggest.

When we stayed at the Boardwalk DS was 19 months and with me and DH and our daughter who was 5 folding the stroller to get on the buses was HORRIBLE  so we did go thru epcot and hop on the monrail, now that they are older we can use the buses but with young kids and being by myself I would go thru Epcot.

ENJOY

I have done this while staying at BW and thought the bus was much better. Remember that after you get off the boat, you have to walk all the way through Epcot to get to the monorail, so depending on how hot it is, it might be more walking than you want. Also, you will have to have hopper tickets to do this. But it certainly can be done if you want.

I have to think that this is way too much trouble. I know that there are some who really don't like the buses. But, when you take into account the time and walking...if you wait for and take a boat to Intl. Gateway...that's about 10 minutes, then you have to walk to the front entrance of Epcot, about 15 minutes, then wait for the monorail. Then ride to MK...about 8-10 minutes, then get off and cross down and back up again to get on the correct monorail line to MK. Then 10 minutes to MK. A lot of time and exercise. I would much rather take the bus. You aren't sharing with all that many people...really just S/D and then BW....usually YC/BC have their own buses.

I do have to ask though.....why would you have to sit through stops at DTD?? I believe DTD has their own bus route. But, I could be remembering incorrectly.

I get your point. Thanks so much.

I think that, on the days when dh is with us, we'll limit our park use to MGM and Epcot. So much easier, by myself with 2 toddlers.

(oh and FWIW, I'm not anti-bus or anything, it can just be SO hard with 2 little ones, kwim?)
