I'm watching the movie Earthquake, from 1974, and I'm struck my how we've become so accustomed to computer generated special effects. This is delightfully crude. Obviously, they used the shake the camera effects for most of the earthquake footage. I sometimes wonder if we aren't as creative anymore because the technology exists so that we don't have to be.

I remember seeing it in the theater and they did this thing where the made the seats move/shake simulating an earthquake! :thumbsup2

I remember that! They called it Sensurround, haha! There were some great old cheesy disaster movies from that time period.
