It was a little one, but boy did I feel it!!! I never felt an earthquake before. I thought something exploded!:earseek:

Where was it and when did it happen?

I felt it too. I thought a big truck went by and when I looked outside the streets were empty. It was in Camden County, South Jersey. The same thing happened about 10 years ago.

It happened around 10:25 this morning. They are saying that it was a 2.3 or something like that.

That want an earthquake it was the rest of the country rejecting NJ like a bad piece of meat :p

(I'm only kidding I have friends who live in NJ and its actually a very nice state)

Thanks for the info, everyone! Now I know what that was! I thought something blew up nearby or some really big heavy equipment rolled down a close street.

Being from CA, unless it's over a 3.5 we don't even feel them. LOL

Hope everything is ok.

We are in Woodbridge Township and I felt it - like a little vibration. Thought something was wrong with the furnace or something - but definitely felt like a truck went by!!! Hope no damage for anyone in Camden!

We actually had an earthquake here in Atlanta last year. It woke me up in the middle of the night, and I didn't know what was going on (being from Georgia, we are not used to earthquakes, LOL). I was living at home with my parents before I got married, so I went busting into their bedroom to see if something big had fallen or something. They didn't even know anything had happened. I said that I thought it felt like an earthquake, but they just laughed at me. Then the next morning my mom called me from work to tell me that the news was reporting that there was an earthquake after all. :teeth:

I looked it up online, and it was a 4.9 on the Richter scale, but it was not centered in Atlanta, rather on the GA/AL border. It really is an odd feeling, especially when you're not used to having them in your area. I am glad that you are OK.

Wow, you felt it all the way in Woodbridge!! I can't believe it. That's pretty far from here. I lived there when I was a kid.

Wasn't the stadium imploded on Sunday? I can't see an aftershock that much later!!!

Yeah, I felt something in Woodbridge - not much, just vibration under my feet - nothing in the house or on the walls vibrated, though!!!

DH felt it and thought that something exploded. I was out in the truck and don't remember anything. Funny thing is, DH was in CA for the last 6 weeks and had to come back to SJ to feel an earthquake:D

I was in work and another woman felt it. I was standing across the table from her and felt nothing!

I was at my internship listening to the radio and heard about the earthquake. Not a normal occurence in NJ!

WOW, I live in Gloucester County, about 10 miles south of Camden, and I didn't feel a thing, this is the first I heard about it. I haven't had the news on tonight.

We had one in Michigan in the mid-80's. No damage but it was the strangest feeling to feel the earth move.

Nope..........didn't feel anything where I work in Central NJ
