No other details are given and it is not on the calender yet. Anyone here about this event?

By the way Earth Day is Aprill 22 lol

what...? Is there a Environmental ride dissimilar to the Splash Mountain tracks?

Lol, I'm saying prehaps they will add new ride pieces. usually when there is a ride a thon there is new ride pieces
but you are right, they could allways use the splash mountain pieces. it just seems odd that they would, because ride a thons introduce new ride pieces

Oh my you all have great ideas. You are right though, why would they release an epcot room without epcot funiture? I am totally thinking a monorail now.

What is a ride-a-thon? I have not been on VMK long enough to have seen one. Is it a contest? Introduction of new items? Special event? All the above??

A ride a thon is kind of all of those. Vmk staff, hosts, and even some testers have ride rooms open. Everytime you completely ride one ride (and don't worry, they aren't very long) you get whatever the prize is. It usually lasts for three days with a different prize each day. The prizes are usually new ride pieces, or something else. For example, in everest month there were several ride a thons. One time the prize was these neat mountain chairs, and another time it was ice carpets. A week or so after the ride a thon, if the ride a thon introduces new ride pieces there is usually a contest where you and your team (and sometimes it is without a team) makes a ride and the judges come and ride your ride. It is a lot of fun. I remember my team from the everest compitition. We won 2nd place in color, and got some pretty cool prizes. So yes, it is a little of both.
