Early shuttle to port?

Which hotel offers the earliest shuttle to the port? We want to get there as early as possible. Or, is it better to plan to use DCL shuttle transfers? I thought I read somewhere that you can check in at the airport, and can skip the line at the terminal. If so, how early can you check in at the airport?
