Early seating at 'Ohana?

I just lucked up and scored a reservation at 'Ohana for our trip in November. Our original dates changed and I hand to cancel our original res. Anyway, the new res. is for 5:00 p.m., which I guess is the first seating for dinner.

Has anyone been this early and how did it work out. Was there a long wait for everyone to get in right at 5:00?

I've only been to Ohana's once and it was a 5:00 ADR. We arrived about 4:40 and the line was already quite long with people waiting for opening. Once it opened the line moved very quickly though and we were seated by 5:10 (not sure of exact time, but it wasn't long at all).

I think 5:00 is the perfect time to go, in fact we have two 5:00 ADR's lined up for Ohana on our upcoming trip

two weeks ago our ADR was for 520pm. We waited about 20 minutes!! Strange.

We have a 4:45pm ADR there in Dec. There was a 4:35pm available at the time too. I don't know what time they officially start seating/serving dinner.

I didn't think they opened until 5PM

I know... that's what it says on the wdw website, but I have a confirmation # for 4:45pm on 12/20 . I wonder if they've started opening earlier due to their popularity or maybe because it's close to Christmas??

I have a 4:30 the week before Thanksgiving. I have also had reservations before 5 on previous trips and we always go during slow times, like January. I think they have changed the opening time.
