Do you have to be AKL concierge to take the early morning safari at AK? It looked like fun on the travel special last night.

To do the sunrise safari, you do have to be staying at the AKL, concierge level. There is also a sunset safari available for AKL concierge guests. There is a wildlife discovery excursion available to all concierge guests (any hotel). It's 2 times a day and has to be reserved in advance.

I am fairly certain you have to be staying at ANY concierge, not just AKL

I thought I read somewhere within the last few weeks that they opened it to all AKL guests. Maybe someone else may know what I read?

Sunset Safari has opened to other guests, Sunrise Safari is still exclusive to Concierge guests.

Also, if you are on the Platinum Plan you can take the Sunrise Safari, even not staying in Concierge.

Yep, the Platinum Plan comes with unlimited tours and the sunrise Safari is permitted.

disneytraveler did that recently, she was staying in a regular savanna view room (platinum plan) and the morning of the safari they escorted her up to the 6th floor concierge to meet for the tour.
