6 months is not long at all! It has only been 6 months since we went on our 0919 Wonder Jennifer and it seems like we were just there! 6 months will fly by!!!

Hi I just signed up this morning. It will be me, DH, DD3 and DS3. I originally wanted to go for Labor Day Weekend for their 4th Birthday, but found out it was chartered. So, after orignially booking for Sept. 11, I changed this morning to the 18th.

This is our 1st cruise, so we are looking forward to it. I keep setting the TIVO to tape anything with Disneyworld or Disney so I can catch a glimpse of the ship.

We are in room 7056. My name is Heather (35 ), DH (39) and boy girl twins who will turn 4 Sept. 6th.

Can anyone give some advice on the dining? I am worried how we are going to make it for 2 hours (what the CM told me the average dinner takes) with two 3 year olds. That just seems way to long for them to sit still, even with crayons.

I have to tell you all, if you are booked directly with DCL it would behoove you to give Dana a call. www.micdan.com Dana is great and had saved me much money on my cruises!!!! It never hurts to check pricingm and if SHE cant get you pumped up about taking a cruise than no one will! LOL

I just saved $200 by calling Costco's Travel Agent and having them change my same reservation into their system. I waited on the phone while they called Disney, it was very easy. So, I am sure any travel agent could probably do the same.

The only thing I am not sure about is whether you book the shore excursions through the agent or if you can still book them through Disney. I am a compuslive planner for these disney trips, so I will be sure to call at the 60 day mark. Hopefully it won't be like trying to call at 4 am in the morning 90 days out for CRT. I don't know how fast the shore excursions sell out.

We actually got stuck with the late seating, I guess that is good, since I really want them to see the shows. My main plan is to get them fed through the kids club at 5 p.m. then go to the show, then have them go to the club to watch a movie so DH and I could actually eat at a meal. If DH can last that long, I think sometimes he gets more cranky if he doesn't eat then the kids do...

Yes, but not all TA's offer the same amount of discount. So the price will vary from TA to TA. Beleive me I have checkend many different sources for all of my DCL cruises and only ONCE Dana could not beat the price I had been quoted. Do you know what she told me? "Amanda I can not beat that price you got a GREAT deal jump on it!" She is awesome nd many here on the DIS use her and swear by her. In fact that is how I found her, someone here recommended her a few years back. Anyways, just thought I would pass on a tip to my feloow cruisers.

Oh yeah, shore excursions will need to booked with DCL directly.

Welcome Heather & family! My son is 3, and I agree, 2 hours will be difficult for him too. My daughter is well behaved, but he gets ancy. If it becomes too problematic, we'll put him in the club. He basically never runs out of energy while he's awake. Non stop go go go. I guess in some respects that is good because we have no problems with him at nap time or bed time. He crashes out of sheer exhaustion! ha ha

I called Dana when I was planning, and I agree, she was very very nice and helpful. However, when I booked, DU beat her price. So, I went with DU. But, I wouldn't hesitate to call her again next time around. We also used DU to book our room only ressies at the poly after the cruise and hopefully they can get us a PS at CRT! Keeping fingers crossed.

We don't plan to book any excursions per se. At Nassau, we plan to go with our family to Atlantis and hopefully book a day room to use the facilities. Since we have 6 people, Amanda & her hubby are joining us to split the cost of the 2nd room. Thanks Amanda! Of course its always a crap shoot...they could be out of rooms when we get there. But, booking a room at Comfort Suites or Atlantis would lock us in with a 48 hour cancellation policy and you never know what can happen during hurricane season, so we're just going to try and get a day room when we get there. I've read they usually aren't at full capacity then, so hopefully it won't be a problem. Back up plan is to see what we can for free, and then walk to the nearest beach access if they have no rooms. Castaway Cay we just plan to laze around the beach. I think we'll try and reserve Palo for DH, myself and the grandparents on the sea day if we can.

I am really leaning toward the dolphin encounter, since they will allow the kids to participate also. It is the cutest picture they have on their web site, with the dolphin kissing the little girl. I have read some good reviews on it.

We are looking forward to the Wonder on Sept. 18th. It will be me, my husband, and my mom. We just booked a few days ago for a Cat 12 GTY.

Michelle- I live in Nixa, MO- not too far away from you. Have you booked your airfare yet??? We are leaving on Sat evening and returning on Friday morning. I got a fare of $288 r/t pp on Northwest. I figured it will only be going up as the gas prices go up and I like to avoid driving to STL, TUL, Or KC if at all possible.

Welcome joannarph! You are close! Wow! No, we haven't booked air yet. When I first started looking, air was $268 out of sgf. So, you are right, its going up. I've tried pricelining air cheaper, but no luck. We cannot afford $288 since we're bringing our kids and parents along. We're hoping for closer to 200. So, we are doing the southwest waiting game. They've come out with great deals out of mci and stl but only through sept 12! So, we're short a few days. And, if I can't get a deal from southwest, i'm contemplating using TMA out of st.louis midway...their rates are $79 one way, but again sept air not out yet. So, we wait.

I've told DH if we can't get a deal, we'll just drive (UGH!), but I refuse to pay close to the same price for my air as I'm paying for the cruise itself!

We have been staying busy here. The kids just went thru testing for karate. They are now senior green belts! WOW It is really neat to watch them spar! They will have their first tournament on APril 30th!
I have a trip to WDW planned for Memorial Day weekend, but I am ready NOW! The kids are out of school next week for Spring Break!
