Craig and Jeff, How did you book your 2007 cruise? With DCL or TA? My TA is quoting a price as high as DCL and I know that if I book a cruise while on board I can get a discount. I am planning on enjoying this cruise so much that I am ready to book another! Thanks

You can always book onboard to get the discount and give them your TA's info and they will send your confirmation to your TA so you get the best of both. :earsboy:

Thanks everyone for sending info on the bracelets. Keep the PMs coming!

I'm such a nerd - I just read through every message and made a spreadsheet of everyone. I count 30 of us who have posted (and a few neighbors/friends!). And wow, are there a lot of people trying to escape the cold! 3 WI, 2 MN, 2 MI, 2 Canada, etc.

Lisa, don't forget Iowa!! We just looked out the window and its snowing...lightly. Its weird cuz my new swimsuit came a few days ago and here it is...snowing. What a mind game this is.

Snowed a bit here in NY today too. ICK! The caribbean is calling.......

Just a sprinkling of snow here in Southern Ontario but man is it cold and windy. I think I'll go have a glass of wine and dream about the sunny south.

Hello over here in Colorado. Anyone from this part of the country? Yesterday was around 65 degrees and I woke up this morning to about 6 inches of snow! I secretly love it. It means we stay inside all day and do crafts. (Or clean out the basement, if I can get anyone to help me!)
I have such a pain on the right side of my neck and back that I can not get to go away and my husband finally said, it's from the computer. He's right! He said no computer until your better, ya like that's going to happen. I can't wait for my massage on the Magic, it will be magic!

gydell,

We actually booked with the rep on board. We were on the 10/27 Wonder. It was only about a week after the rates came out, so we got the lowest possible rate.

I contacted my TA, but there are no discounts yet for the 2007 sailings. We will transfer it out when they offer the rebates.

Our rate actually went down after we got back. I checked the rate about a week after we got back and it was $100 less. After looking into it, DS's rate was decreased. DCL did adjust the rate for us.

I would recommend booking now through DCL so you get the current low rates. If the rates are the same when we sail in Jan, have them switch you booking to get the on-board booking deals.

I'm not sure if you have an existing reservation and the rates at the time we sail are higher if they will honor your rate and give you the on-board discounts.

When the on-line TA's start offering discounts for 2007, you can then transfer your reservation out and save more money.

Jeff, we are going on the Jan 27, 2007 western cruise in SPH 5520 again. Craig

My math was off by a week. We are on the Jan 20, 2007 eastern cruise in SPH 5522. Thought we were going to be neighbors.

We wanted to book for the first week of June 2007 (DS is out of school Jun 1 and summer day camps don't start until Jun 12. I'll have to take the week off anyways), but the rates weren't out. Now we have to decide if we'll switch or not. Jan is a great time to get away from WI. We just don't know if we want to take DS out of school. He'll only be in first grade at the time, so I think it will be fine.

We had this room in Oct. I would have gone for 5520, but DW (who gets motion sickness very easily) can't sail feet first (i.e. head of the bed is to the aft side of the room). :confused3

So we took the next best SPH, 5522. The connecting room wasn't bad. Plus we had an excellent view out of our window.

Gotta love the FREE window.

I'm trying to re-work my budget to see if I can fit it in. I would love to have one of those for a birthday present to myself.

Thank you so much for letting us know! I even checked last night to see if they were available online yet. It's my birthday on the 22nd so this is my belated gift. How do I make the time go faster?!?

Lisa

SandieT-- The Spa Villa's are new treatment rooms on the Magic. You can book a single or a couples room. They have a verandah and a spa tub, as well as treatment tables. There have been several threads...some even with pictures. Inkkognito has several photos on her website, as well.

Lisa--- Sounds like a great birthday present for yourself! My DH and I have an anniversary three weeks before the cruise...that's our excuse for booking! :lovestruc
