!!!! Early Roll Call for January 21 2006 Eastern Magic Cruise !!!!

Hi Stephmicksara,

And welcome, you don't have sign the kids up before we leave but you can sign up at the terminal or at 75 days out on the DLC website.

Brett

The board has been silent since Oct 4th...I just can't contain myself any longer....I found a link on the boards for viewing the Magic in drydock....I can't wait to see the first reviews once she is back out there cruising. I am anxious to hear what they say about the big screen tv etc...I have read my passporter from cover to cover...now I have to find something else to do to keep me busy.....haha....there was a show on Travel Channel last night that I just missed on DCL.....and you know they have a habit of running things more then once...well go figure this show they didn't...Hopefully they will show it again soon but nothing posted as of yet...did anybody catch it and if so was it good? :earboy2:

Hey everyone,
I will be traveling with fiance, his dd10 and dd8, his mother and my mother. Girls don't know abou the trip yet - plan on it being a major part of their Christmas Present!!!
We are flying down on Friday out of Philly.
Have cruised before - never Disney - can't wait to see what she's like!
Kelley

I did catch the show on the travel channel last night---it made me all the more excited!! The weather has changed to fall here in MI over the last few days which makes Jan. feel closer, I'm hoping the next few months with the holidays will fly by (I'm sure it will).
Anyways I just checked our reservation on the DCL website and noticed our cabins were assigned, no luck for us with an unexpected upgrade :confused3 ohwell! We are still listed as late dining, hoping we will still be able to change that?? At the last minute and after much debate we did go ahead and spend the $$ on passports, I'm hoping that was the wise decision... (even though the dates have been postponed) I tend to be a worrier, and now I'm feeling much more at ease about that issue. Next on the list is to start thinking about the land excursions, I would love your input... we have DH, DD3, DS6 & myself. :earsboy:

Craig - How is your Mom doing? I hope everything is going good for her.

:cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :bounce:

We will all be doing the double digit dance soon. I'm ready Are you????

Gydell

My mom passed away August 31 after a very long 5 weeks. She was 10 days short of turning 82. We were expecting it, but it's still hard.

Boy, the weather here in Wisconsin is turning cooler and the leaves are changing. This makes me know our cruise is just around the corner.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of your mother. It is never easy. I am sure will be shining down on your family as you set sail.

I have a question I am hoping some vetern disney cruisers can help me with. I did request the dining rotation that will put me in Lumiere's on formal night. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get it. My question is about Palo. If I had to pick a night to miss the dining room which night would you suggest. Also has anybody ever done early Palo and still gone to the dining room. If so do you end up missing the show and if that is the case which show do I want to miss....sorry for all the questions....this cruise better get here soon before I drive myself nuts..hahaha :rotfl:

Craig - I am so sorry about your Mom. I know how difficult it can be. I hope you and you family are doing ok.

Our countdown clock here at home says we are in double digits (we have it set to the day we fly out, which is Friday the 20th). I am sure, now that summer is over and holidays are looming, the time will zip along.

We are heading to WDW for a brief stay while DS8 is off from school next week. The day we head back home (10/23) is the day we are eligible to go on-line for Palo ressies etc. We are staying at the FW cabins, and plan to take the boat to the Contemporary, where we will access their Internet Cafe and book Palo, register DS8 in the clubs etc.

Did you all watch the Magic in dry dock via the web link? It was cool. Last night, as the Magic was leaving dry dock, they had something playing on the new big screen over the pool. That screen is big! People on the main board posted they could see a movie playing while they drove down the freeway.

Let me know how the FW cabins are . We have always thought about staying there. Time is going faster now that fall is here. We have football every Sat. till Thanksgiving and with lots of luck even the weekend after! We leave Dec 4 for a week at the kingdom. We are staying at the GF and I can't wait. We have never been the MMVMCP before. Then with Christmas and hopefully a bowl game , the cruise will be right around the corner. Have fun on your trip!!

Gydell,
We stayed in Ft. Wilderness cabins in January and loved them. They are a less expensive way to sleep 5 very comfortably. The bedroom is small but has a full size bed and a bunk bed. A murphy bed pull down in the family room area and there is a full kitchen. There is a ton to do at that resort. We spent one day just hanging out and swimming. There are two pools, you can rent bikes or paddle boats. The only downside is the resteraunt is awful but there are so may other choices it really doesn't matter. We loved the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and one of my favorite resteraunts that I never hear anyone mention is Wispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge which is just a boat ride away. Magic Kingdom is just a boatride away as well!
Lots of fun!!! :Pinkbounc
Sandie

Thanks for the information on the Ft. Wilderness cabins. It is comforting to hear good reviews. We have been to WDW twice, both times as part of a Land and Sea, but always stayed at the Poly. This is a change for us, but we are really excited.

SandieT and Gydell

We just booked our Atlantis sub tour in St. Thomas directly through Atlantis tours. We requested the AM tour, but the afternoon will work fine. I guess I will have to wait till we get the confirmation email to see what time we have.

Craig

We got our confirmation already. We are booked for the 2:00pm tour. All the AM slots were filled.

Craig

Woo Hoo!!! We just placed our final payment :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Craig - Did you call or e-mail your request in? I am going to call tomorrow and see what they say. I'm kinda like Sandie with the time and wanting to make sure that we are not late back to the ship.
