Hi- This is my 1st post to the DIS boards. We will be on the 1/21/06 cruise and my DS will have just turned 6 on the 18th. Maybe they could get to know each other.

We have a DS age 6 and DD age 13 for this cruise.

I received my brochure last Thurs. It says 1st time cruisers can make reservations on Nov. 7th!
Mine came from my TA.

I was reading about the Pirates of the Caribbean deck party and it sounds like not too many people dress up for that. Is anyone planning on dressing up?
With all the Halloween costume stuff out right now, if you are planning to dress up, now is a good time to shop.
I think it sounds like fun but I tend to like to blend in not stand out so I need a show of hands on who is and who is not dressing up!!!!

We are so dressing up. My son is a pirate fanatic. We may not go too overboard but we will definitely do something. DS 6 would like to dress up as captain hook. Trying to talk DH into being Captain Jack Sparrow. DD 13 also is excited to dress up. Should be big fun.......

We(adults) are planning on wearing normal pants with black and white stripped shirts. We have bought hats and eyepatches and necklaces that glow in the dark. My DGS(4) will be wearing a short outfit I found this summer that is a black shirt with the skull and crossbone on it. Just hope that we can stay up late since we have to get up so early the next morning for customs.

Our hands are up! We are definitely dressing up... I just need to sew the costumes but I think we'll use them for Halloween so it's worthwhile. Already picked up eye patches at the dollar store. Pirate stuff is definitely easy to find this time of year. Myself and DD10 look forward to a fun night.

I think it will be fun to do it for Pirate Night..a chance to really enjoy what Disney is all about.

Just the idea of fireworks on the ship is awsome! That will just be so cool to be on the ship and see the fireworks out over the ocean! I just got the newest passporter disney cruise book. I can't wait to sit down and read through it!

Is this a new Passporter or the one that's been out for a few months? I want to make sure i got the new one to give my DD. Thanks!
