Early Robin or Late Owl.?

Our first trip will be in a couple weeks, and we have a couple early mornings and couple late nights planned. I don't know how well my 5yo and 7yo DDs will handle being in the parks in the heat (low 80s is heat for us!) all day. We have mid-day breaks planned a couple of days as well.

both.
at MK and EP we make it for AM EMH/RD and stay until park close/end of PM EMH.
we generally don't go back to the resort during the day either.
at HS and AK we make it for AM EMH/RD and stay until early/mid afternoon and then leave because we we are done with the parks by then.
on those days we go back to the resort and rest for a couple hours and then head to disney springs

Early birds for the most part. But, on our last trip, we did do both one day and it was awesome! We did have a down day the next day, mind you!

Night owls. We LOVE the evening shows, love being in the parks after dark. I bet I haven't been in a park before 10AM in at LEAST ten years, maybe longer. Usually, we are happy if we are out of our hotel room by 10AM. We wouldn't be happy doing rope drop- just too darned tiring! Going back to the room mid-day holds no appeal; we wouldn't swim at all, and if I lie down in the late afternoon for a rest, I might just be there all night long (aside from the fact that it seems like a huge time-waster)!

If a park is open late, we are there until they throw us out!

I'm more of an Eeyore. :D

I was gonna say "Sloth" but I think I like Eeyore better.:eeyore: I'm a recovering park commando, but the days of RD to close have been over for me for a long time. I can get up early, but at this point no one in our party is interested in joining me, so I'll sleep until everyone else is up (I can get ready faster than the others.) After dinner, I'm ready to head back to enjoy the resort.

This routine has come only after dozens of trips over several decades. Had we not been going as frequently, I might still be in that adrenaline rush mode. :earsboy:

DH and I have always been Late Owls (making McD's breakfast used to be a challenge). Ah, but then we had kids. Disney is all about them (and they would wake us up anyway) so we're Early Robins now. The kids don't make it past 10 pm and not even that for more than a day or two. But having seen how empty the parks are at RD, I think that even if we went sans kids, we'd get up for RD then probably nap if needed and go back until closing.

At home I'm definitely a night owl. I used to be one at wdw until they recently shortened the evening emh. Now you're lucky if you get one emptyish hour whereas it used to be almost a guaranteed good two empty hours. That pretty much forces me to be an early bird though I'd much rather stay up late.

My little guy wakes up early... but he does not get moving for a while. (Making it to school by 8:25 has been a challenge this year, and we're up from 7am on.) He can make it to midnight quite cheerfully if he's having fun. Which fits in with my natural rhythms - by nature, I am not an early bird. No worms for me! I'm a total night owl. And my husband is typically at his best around mid-day - neither an early bird nor a night owl! So we typically do a mid-morning arrival at the parks, staying until after the fireworks unless we have a dinner reservation at one of the resorts. (We typically go in the fall, when the hours are a bit shorter.) We'll often make it for a single pre-open breakfast at one of the parks, and can do a late-night party once on a trip as well, but otherwise, we figure roughly 9am - 11pm - a 14 hour day on vacation! - is just right for us. :)

We do both. We enjoy the early morning light crowds and we enjoy the late evenings. In the middle of the day, we do non-park things and nap! :)

Early Bird with a break in the afternoon, so I can see at least one evening spectacular. Love that there is going to be a new evening spectacular when I get there in two months.

We're generally early birds. We do the mid-day break but our kids still go to sleep early so even if we're at a park after a break, it's not for too long.

There are four of us, and by nature we have two early birds - DH and DD9, a night owl - DS11, and me. I kind of fall into both - a bit of an early bird and a night owl if circumstances demand it, but I do tend to be a bit of a mid-day slumper.

We tend to tour with early mornings, mid-day breaks, and returning to the park in the evenings. So far we haven't done really late nights with the kids, but hoping to push it a little more this year. Last year we had a night we're we split up the "girls" and the "boys", and the kids loved it, so maybe I'll do the night owl thing with my son one night this trip - as long as there's a little flexibility the next morning because waking him up can be rough!

Both - with a quick nap in the middle of the day when park attendance is at its highest. I spent a lot of money on this vacation and I am not going to sleep it away!!

Both. Rope drop to closing (or nearly so) every day. If I wanted a relaxing vacation, I would stay at home where I can sit around and do nothing without spending $5000.
yes I am so with you on this one if I need a break I will most often take on in the park finding a quiet place to sit before the parade or just people watch for a while. But disney is not a relaxing sleeping in vacation if I want that I would drive 30 minutes to the beach.
