Early Planning for 11/08

This is the first time since purchasing DVC that we don't have a new res. somewhere! We came home on the 19th and it just hit me!!! We are planning a Vero vacation in the Fall but I am not at the 7 month mark yet. Anyway we are planning a Nov. 2008 trip with our new grandson (due in June) so he will be about 17 months at the time. Probably not much park time. Please tell me you experiences taking someone so young.(DD and SIL) are coming also. Thanks!

Congratulations on the June arrival of your new grandson! I don't have advice about babies at the park but will be interested to read other responses since DH and I are planning an August 08 trip with our first grandchild due this July! He/she will be just over 12 months old, and the second calculation we did (after figuring out what month he/she would be born) was to figure out how many months until we could take him/her to Disney!

Our trips with three young grandkids have been wonderful. In Sept '99 we took our 1st (grandson) when he was 18 mo. He was great and we enjoyed the trip through his eyes. (He has now been to WDW with us 5 times)

In Oct '02 we took our 2nd (granddaughter) at 18 months and grandson (4 years old) and again, had a wonderful trip. (She has now been to WDW with us 4 times)

In Oct '06, we took our newest granddaughter (3 months) (granddaughter & grandson were along also) and she did fine.

All of the WDW trips included our 3 grown children and spouses.

In November we finally decided to become DVC members at SSR. Only wish we had done it back in 1999.

We have another family trip planned for November 2007.

I have to laugh because one of the first things I thought of when we found out about the baby was to wonder when we would first take the baby to WDW!
