EARLY pickup for rental car?

I thought I read a topic on this before, but I couldn't find it when I looked for it.

I have a Dollar reservation for Sept, to pickup the rental car at 8pm.

It looks like we'll be taking a MUCH earlier flight than I anticipated, we'll get into Orlando around 2-3pm.

Can I keep my same reservation and just pick up the car early? I got a GREAT rate of $175/week for a convertible, and when I try a new reservation, the rate is MUCH higher. I'm just wondering if I can simply pick up the car earlier than I've reserved for. If it involves an additional day because of the timing, that's fine with me, as long as it's at the good rate I already have.

Any ideas?

You shouldn't have any problem. They are really asking for the pick up and drop off times to determine pricing. This is too see how many 24 hour periods you would be keeping the car for. This is how the rates are determined. For example, if you pick up a car at 10AM on a Sunday but return it 7 days later at 10PM you will be charged for 8 days and not 7 since you have had the car for more than 7 24 hour periods.

We had to fly in about 12 hours early once, due to an expected ice storm...(long story)...anyway, National just charged me an extra day.
