Early park admission into ROTM

I was trying to figure out why the Mummy was opening earlier than the rest of the park on certain days of the week.

It seems there is an early entry for some onsite visitors.

Nice, I've never seen anyone go into the park early. I'm sure it happens, but why would a hotel guest need it?
I was there June 15th arriving just after the park opened at 08:45am, went thru the regular line, and it was a walkon. Went around again thru express, and it was 5 minutes. But in the afternoon, the FOTL advantage is huge. At 2pm I waited 15 minutes, while the regular line was 75 minutes.
It's just a gimmick if you ask me.
Now, if you visit Cedar Point, and stay at an onsite hotel, you get in one hour early, and this advantage is huge, because after that, you're just like everyone else, no FOTL.

The attraction they really need to open early, is Shrek. They should just open the front section of the park at 08:00am and let everyone go there first.

We just booked six nights RPR through Universal Vacations and this early admission for ROTM was included in our packet. It says it's valid on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, May 28-August 30, 2004.
