We just decided that our next trip will be November 3 - 8, 2006. Has anyone ever been in early November? If so, how are the crowds? The resorts consider this time of year to be the regular season although I would have thought it would be the value season. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm planning a trip this year for Oct 28-Nov 4, I looked at www.touringplans.com and they have my week at a 4 (with a max of 10). I would say it's a good time to go. I'm hopeing the weather will be cooler than the end of September.

Early and mid November are GREAT times of year to go. I've been to WDW a few times during this period, including on our honeymoon. We haven't experienced bad waiting times on any of the rides, mostly been able to walk on, with small waits for the fantasyland attractions and very popular rides like Soarin, Rock N Roller Coaster, etc. The parks are more crowded on the weekends, so I would skip trying to do MK on a Saturday or Sunday for sure.

The Food and Wine Festival should be going on at Epcot, which is a lot of fun. I love the little booths they set up so you can taste dishes from the different nations. Weather during that period is usually very good.. warm enough to walk around comfortably without a jacket during the day (sometimes in shorts) and not so hot as to make it uncomfortable.

I'm surprized that they have those dates listed as "regular" season.. I think when we went during the second week of November it was considered value season, but I know when we went around Halloween 2005 it was "regular" season. There wasn't a significant difference in the park attendance between the two though!

Just a word of warning...all of us Jersey folks will be joining you! Nov.5-10th is Jersey week.

Our last trip was Oct. 29 - Nov. 5 and it was great. (I picked the week before Jersey Week). We deliberately stayed away from MK on Halloween and went to MGM first that day, it was empty. Went to MK the day after Halloween and after an early character breakfast at Crystal Palace we walked on to everything in Fantasyland. Weather was great, one evening of rain. We needed jackets in the evening. I would pick that week rather than Jersey Week, just because the crowds will be a little lower.

We just adjusted our days for the "land" part of our November trip. We were going to go to WDW for 2-3 nights before the cruise which would have been the Veteran's day-Jersey week-food and wine-super soap-weekend and instead will go for 2 nights following our cruise. That puts us at the week before Thanksgiving which I hope is as quiet as I've heard on these boards. :teeth:
