Living on the west coast, it's rather annoying when they declare the winner before our polling places even close. Almost, makes me wonder why bother.

It isnt over until the last vote is counted. It will be a late night for me!

I'm an Obama supporter and I don't really think those states are as decisive for Obama as they are for McCain. I think McCain will take them all, although Virginia will possibly go Dem.

I think if PA goes to Obama, it's over for McCain. He doesn't need FL or OH the way McCain does. He only needs his strong leaning states plus a CO or a NV or NM.

Despite the battleground polls yesterday showing McCain ahead or tied in OH, PA, VA, NC, MO and FL, I still think it's going to be a blowout.

I was discussing with my wife earlier today that I know lots of people that could not even bring themselves to consider Gore or Kerry that have already voted for Obama this year. Add to that the shenanigans that are taking place, and I just don't see how it could possibly be close.

The networks all wait until the last polls close before declaring a winner, though it's usually obvious before that. They started holding off few years ago after getting complaints from the west coast that the election would be "over" before they even voted!

I voted "late" but that's only if you consider 11 or 12 "late".

Who really knows for sure, but I'm guessing late because that way the networks keep us watchin'.
