Early morning transportation.

Visiting WDW soon and staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I have made a couple of early morning dining reservations for Restaurants at other Resorts and I was just wondering on the best plan to get to the hotels from my Resort. And if its possible to use WDW transportation for these times.

Dining Reservation for Kona Cafe at 7.35 am with Magic Kingdom opening for 8.00 am(EMH).

Dining Reservation for Kouzzina at 8.55 am with Epcot opening at 9.00 am

For the Kona resize, we always took the bus to the MK, and walked to the Contemporary. I am not sure about your other ressie.

Thanks but Kona is at the Polynesian Resort and I'm guessing the only option is to catch a Monorail. Although I have concerns about relying to much on Monorail's due to the delays and breakdowns of this aging fleet. Is it possible to walk to the Polynesian from the Magic Kingdom?

Sorry. Yes, you could catch the monorail. I am staying at POR, and have a 7:30 ressie at Boma. I am just going to take a cab since I have read on the boards, that's a tough one to get to first thing in the am.

Sometimes, if you are lucky, your MK bus driver will drop you off after his stop at MK.

In the early mornings, as you board the bus to MK at your resort, just tell the bus driver that you are headed to the Kona, and (s)he may likely take you directly to the door of the Polynesian Resort before or after the MK stop. This is true for the restaurants at the Contemporary, as well.

The early buses can be very accommodating for breakfast guests.

The buses start running from the resorts every day starting about 6:30AM.

For some reason, this fact is not known to the resort CM's who continue to repeat the incorrect
info that buses start running an hour before the park opens.

Take the bus to DHS, just tell the bus driver that you are headed to Kouzzina, and (s)he may likely take you directly to the door of the Boardwalk Resort before or after the DHS stop.

Another choice is to bus to DHS,
then take the free Friendship boat (or walk) to Boardwalk. See maps below.

(Lastly, for Kouzzina, you could choose to take a cab. Figure a $20, or so tab, plus tip.)

You cannot walk to the Poly or GF from the MK. You can walk to the CR. you can walk from the TTC to the GF or Poly.

Thanks for the help. I decided to cancel my reservations for Kona and reserve instead for the Wave at 8.20 am. That way I can leave the hotel later and catch a bus over to the Magic Kingdom. And walk the distance to the Contemporary resort.

Everyone says that there's pixie dust on those early buses, but I've never gotten it. In fact, Disney transportation has made us late to a couple of early morning ADRs. I would suggest taking a cab. We've done it several times from POR to other resorts. Just ask bell services to get a cab for you. It costs about $20 (give or take a few bucks) and it allows you a few extra minutes to sleep in. We usually get down to guest services about 30-40 minutes before our ADR to request a cab.
