Early morning ticketed magic hours

We planned to go to MK on february 28th - it's our first day and our 5 year old will want to start with fantasyland despite the best plans to move around etc.
We already have our lunch booked at BOG.
However, I have just read that there are ticketed early magic hours that day for MK.
Originally I had hoped to arrive at rope drop and try to do a few rides with shorter lines and save FAst passes for later. Now with the ticketed event, do they still do a rope drop event? Should I just make our fast passes as early as 10am?

EMM is only sold to a few hundred people, I believe. Rope drop goes on as normal. From what I understand, you likely won't even notice the additional people in the park if you do RD. Maybe someone who has been to RD on an EMM morning can weigh in with more specific information.

As previously stated, they don't sell many tickets and by the time rope drop happens they've been on everything available to them many times.. they also get a breakfast which many take after they see rope droppers appear so they get the most ride time possible.

they don't make a difference in ride lines with rope drop.

One other question about fast pass strategy. The day is a medium busy day. Is it better to book morning fast passes and hope that more are available to keep adding with the app?

I would book between 10am and 2pm and try for more later if it's really a medium busy day.
