Can anyone give me a brief overview of the 745am ticketed events at MK and HS? This is new to me, so I'd love opinions on whether it's worth the cost or not. Thanks! :)

We've done both the DHS and the MK ones. You essentially get just over an hour of being able to ride select rides before the park opens. At MK, we rode 7DMT close to 10 times and then hit all the other Fantasyland rides. By the time we got to Peter Pan, the park was open so we had to walk the extended queue, but still no wait. We then chose to ride a few more rides like the Speedway and Space Mountain before hitting up the Pinocchio restaurant at around 9:45 for the breakfast buffet.

Similar experience at DHS -- we exclusively rode TSMM (7 times? 8 times?) during the EMM first hour, we could tell when the park was open because there became a slight 2-3 minute wait to get back on the ride, at which point we hoofed it over to Rockin Rollercoaster before hitting up the breakfast buffet around 0945 again. After the EMM was over, that is when we had our FP+ scheduled to kick in, and we were out of the parks by early afternoon for pool time.

Planning something similar in June. Cost is too subjective to be able to answer "is it worth it" very accurately, but it is certainly worth it for us. We've done everything in all the parks multiple times, so we'd rather do EMM, FP+ and then enjoy the resorts or Disney Springs than fight the crowds in the afternoon.

We also usually book the HEA and Fantasmic dessert parties those evenings too.

Thank you @Jedimike ! That sounds worth it! So crowds are pretty low for these events even during busier times of year? Could you tell me what HEA stands for? Thank you!

Just from my own personal experience, the EMM at Hollywood was completely worth it. We rode everything we wanted several times, the crowds were non-existent, & the food was pretty good too! But really, you don’t go for the food!
I liked it so much that I’m going twice on my next trip, with different people.
I never thought the EEM at MK would be worth it, but, lo & behold, I’m doing that this trip as well. All of our original plans had to be scrapped & part of our trip went from 9 days to 5 & I’ve had to scramble to fit everything in & realized going to EEM at MK would allow us to get it all done. I would not have gone if the extra rides hadn’t been added. There are now 7 rides open & we’ll have a toddler with us so I think it will be worthwhile this trip at least.

HEA = Happily Ever After (the MK evening show). My kids are old enough to do the MK EMM and HEA on Tuesday and then the DHS EMM and Fantasmic on Wednesday, but may not be the best idea for a lot of people.

I’m going to add a sarcastic “thanks everyone....” for costing me $$! But seriously, our next trip is for GE, so realistically it might be worth it for us to have an easier day at MK (or maybe AK if that’s an option), to get a break from the most-guaranteed insanity at HS. I’m really hoping SW hotel guests get some sort of early or late hours option (for purchase, maybe as a package), because if I’m already spending insane $$ for that room, might as well go whole hog. Appreciate hearing the details of what was able to be accomplished!

DHS is definitely worth it if one is a huge SDD fan.:)

And we probably ate enough of the great Breakfast offerings to pay for our ticket!lol:)
