That's still a ton of things to fill up a day. You need more than rides in a theme park. If it's just rides that's an amusement park not a theme park.

That's your opinion. Many would probably feel different. Many don't even classify TSMM as an E ticket. I think the lists are even worse at AK and Epcot especially.

When we were there in February, we had EMH on a Friday morning at MK. We were there a half hour before rope drop and waited for the morning show. It didn't happen. They dropped the rope and everyone did the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train dash. We were headed towards Adventureland but were stopped on our way by CMs saying that the only area open early was Fantasyland. We were very confused considering that this information was not anywhere I had read, although I'm relatively new to all this so maybe I missed it. So it leads me to believe that maybe in an effort to avoid staffing the entire park they are "rebranding" EMH as Early Morning Magic Fantasyland. Maybe?

I don't think they do the morning show before EMH.

If you can honestly say what was closed was far better than what was added-then I indeed feel bad for you.

I'm not talking about myself. I wasn't alive for a lot of those things but you can't say that DHS wasn't in need of things 10 years ago. They've added one major attraction at that park in a decade! That's the reason they have to do what they are doing. If they would've done things long ago they wouldn't have a massive park overhaul project.

Added RNR and TOT to that as well. Each alone better than that entire closed list.

In other words I would not close one of them and bring the rest back.

RnRc and ToT were added 17 and 22 years ago! Look at it this way I'm 17. They've added two rides in my lifetime... That's not a good thing in a park that severely lacks rides.

My whole point is they have been listening-made an entire list of responses.

You grabbed onto DHS, (never mentioned the rest) nit pick what dates you want to use, but refuse to admit the closed list was indeed pathetic, and what has been added is amazing and it shows by the popularity of a lot of that.

Heck I will even say Star Wars Fireworks are better than the entire closed list. That and Fantasmic are also part of "theme park".

Those where two different posts. Currently DHS has 5 rides. AK has 6 rides. AK needs more rides but not necessarily entrainment or shows. DHS needs both.

So exactly why do you visit?

And secondly-AGAIN-they have listened and are adding onto both parks.

Third-WDW is 50 years old, 10, 17, 22 who cares-its still growing.

No they haven't been listening. Guests have been wanting more for a decade and have gotten to the point where they will stop going to that park if they don't do something. So this is where Disney HAS to do something.

I went ahead and did lists for each park not just DHS. The park that really should be talked about is Epcot. What has been added is amazing is an opinion. The closed list is longer than the added list. If DHS had more rides you wouldn't have 90 minute waits at TSMM, that ride isn't ground breaking by any means. People wait to ride it because it's the one of the only rides the entire can ride.

I can't say myself but I have heard that the original DHS fireworks show fantasy in the sky was one of the best Disney pyro shows they have ever done. Fantasmic needs an update it's as old as me...

Because I can and want to why do you visit?

If they listened to fans Horizons would still be here and Mr. toads would also never have closed. They are adding onto both parks because they have to.

WDW is not 50 years old it's 44.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 1980
Splash Mountain 1992

MK (the Flagship) went 12 years with no additions in the 80's.

EPCOT Attractions that have opened since then 1982

Illuminations 1988
The Circle of life 1995
Ellen's energy adventure 1996
Test Track 1999 (received a major update later)

EPCOT added 1 thing, fireworks over 13 years in the 80's.

And took 17 years to add an actual e ticket.

And? MK hasn't added an e ticket since splash mountain really. Many including myself don't count mine train as an e ticket.

Epcot hasn't added an e ticket since Soarin in 2005 that's 11 years and counting.

Also during those years Disney opened TWO THEME PARKS.

Because I can and want to why do you visit?.

Well here's a few reasons, a lot more than "I can and want to"-it takes a lot of work to afford to vacation so we are certain what is the best value for us. It's WDW even though we mix in many other trips around the "real" world.

They always deliver an amazing product that we enjoy, in a beautiful atmosphere with great Resorts and Resort locations with excellent service and staff. They constantly mix in the latest movies and characters. They deliver unbelievable amazing evenings and night shows as well and is located for beautiful weather.

But here's a quick 25 other reasons:

1) DVC-deluxe rooms for under $100-and they have "listened" and added even more deluxe resorts to DVC-CR, GF and POLY.

2) FP+ They "listened" that many of us arrive at the parks later and FP's were gone-not anymore.

3) The Hub. We can spend and do spend hours there because they "listened" and expanded it into a beautiful spacious environment.

4) Hub shows. They "listened" and added excellent entertainment in that area from Celebrate the Magic Castle Projection Show which is amazing, to Wishes, to Elsa Castle Lighting which is awesome.

5) They "listened" and provided bypasses around the Main Street exit nightmare busy evenings.

6) They "listened" and added Magical Express so we can check our bags curbside in MPLS and they show up in our room that night.

7) They "listened" and added ME ride to and from our room so we don not have to rent a car, but also get "driven" to our resort.

9) They "listened" and added airport check in at our resort so we can send our bags and they show up back in MPLS.

10) They "listened" and we can get our boarding pass at the resort and go directly to security at MCO, and have no bags are final day.

11) They "listened" and have added much better and interesting dining and shopping at DS and are vastly improving the atmosphere and adding more.

12) They "listened" and added more dining at MK.

13) They "listened" and removed worthless attractions at DHS and have added far better ones.

14) They "listened" and released an awesome Star Wars movie and implemented that into the parks with the Launch Bay and the awesome fireworks.

15) They "listened" and added on to Soarin for more availability.

16) They "listened" and are adding on to TSM for more availability.

17) They "listened" and added a permanent M&G and home for A&E and a great Frozen Show at DHS.

18) They "listened" and added Frozen ride in EPCOT's Norway.

19) They "listened" and added a night show at AK-which I suspect may be the best show.

20) They "listened" and are adding a new land at AK which also may end up the most amazing land.

21) They "listened" and are reworking to have night safaris for folks that only want to visit AK in the evening.

22) They "listened" and are adding a Star Wars Land at DHS.

23) They "listened" and are further improving an already great Star Wars Fireworks show.

24) They "listened" and are adding a TSM land at DHS.

25) They "listened" and are making room for PH3 and possibly PH4 at DHS.
