Early morning magic vs early BOG breakfast

I'm a bit confused.

I was at Disney in March. I did early BOG reservations to get into the park early. I have an 8:05am reservation for BOG in a few weeks. How does this work? Are all rides closed to non EMM people?

Honestly I just like to be there early to get a picture in front of Cinderella's castle without thousands of people behind me in the photo...

Early reports said that PPO BOG guests were held at the exit until 8:45 and were then allowed to get into the 7DMT standby queue before the normal rope drop queue.(while EMM guests continued to have access to the FP+ queue).

EMM only includes 7DMT, PP and Pooh (I might be missing something) all other rides are closed to all guests.

So far, EMM has had a minimal impact on PPO, which is a lot better than the days where rope drop gets changed to 8a for all.

This past Saturday we were able to line up near 7DMT prior to rope drop, then at 8:45 the line was released to the ride before any of the rope drop people could be seen.

However, we could have ventured out into Fantasyland, at least a ways. There was no one holding people up, other than those in the line to get on 7DMT.
