Early Morning Flight...how does check-in and luggage work?

My family is flying home from MCO on September 3rd on Delta. Our flight leaves at 6:20 am. I know that DME leaves 3 hours before and we need to be there 15 minutes early. How does that work with check-in on the flight the night before and checked luggage? Normally I let my husband deal with this, but he is not going to be on this trip so it's all me. I know that Disney can check us in the day before, but what about paying for checked baggage? Can we still deal with our checked baggage at the resort or are we required to deal with it at the airport because of the early flight? Thanks for the help!

You take it on magic express with you and check it there. You will pay any checked baggage fees at the airport

The RAC counter is open from 6am-1pm. You must be finished checking in and walking away no less than 3 hrs prior to flight departure time. So, with a 6:20 flight, RAC won't be an option for you. The bus will pick you up around 3:30. You can check in for your flight in your phone or at a commuter the night before. But you will have to keep your bags with you and take them to the dme bus with you. Then check them at MCO.

Yes you are correct- 5am is the RAC start time. However, for the OP with a 6:20am flight, RAC is still not an option.
