Just wondering what my options would be for an early (done by 8:00 am ) full breakfast in the epcot resort area? Don't really want to do in room dining but would like to eat more than just a muffin!

This is a solo trip for business and I have to be in downtown Orlando at 9am so I want to be able to eat a nice breakfast and soak up as much disney as I can before I have to go home after my business that night.

Any suggestions?

There's a breakfast buffet- Cape May Cafe (its a character breakfast, not sure how you feel about that)at the Beach Club Resort...one of my fav's! I basically roll out of the place from eating so much :)

Spoodles @ the BW resort also has a pretty good breakfast.

You could also call Disney Dining and ask wher you could eat - with our without a Park ticket for your date at 6:30 AM or 7 AM.

Good Luck!

Thanks!
Maybe I will call Disney Dining and see what is available for my time frame.
If not the Boardwalk Bakery is nice too and I could sit outside and enjoy the view for a bit.

I've done that character breakfast solo 3 times (so far). Beforehand, I was really unsure about doing a character breakfast solo, but decided to try it because I was at the BCV. It was great! I just sat and watched the characters interacting with the children, and so my meal went by so quickly. I'd thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb as a solo, but no one noticed me at all-they were too busy looking at/for the characters.

We went to Spoodles as soon as it opened. It was great! Then went over to Epcot.

Captain's Grille at Yacht Club has a breakfast buffet and a menu to order from if you don't want to do the buffet. I'm not sure what time they open but I'm sure you can call Disney Dining to ask them.

Well I am back and I thought I follow up to say I ended up eating at the Garden Grove buffet in the Swan where I was staying. It opened at 6:30 and it was nice and quiet but had an omlette station, waffles, bacon/sausage etc as well as fruit, cereal, rolls, croissants, gosh so much stuff!

No characters but it was so nice and quiet (empty almost!) that I was able to get in and out in just the right amount of time. They also had an a la carte menu but I did the buffet!

I thought about walking over the boardwalk but it was so darn hot and muggy that I did not want to get all sweaty after getting ready in the morning!

I also wanted to add that I felt so funny eating solo! I am never without my kids and family when I eat out so it felt so weird! I ate the first night in the ESPN Zone in the bar area (no wait for there but a big wait if you wanted a table in the restaurant). I didn't sit at the bar but at one of the high tables. Everyone was watching football and yelling and cheering so I did not feel out of place or like people were looking at me (I know, crazy right??) The waitress was really nice and friendly and very attentive. I enjoyed the food and drink!

The next day since I was out of the "world" I ate lunch at Bahama Breeze which was very yummy too. I had a nice shrimp pasta dish that was a little spicy but not too much.

I also felt it was really busy at least at all the Boardwalk YC/BC restaurants. I walked all the way around and checked out the Cape May Cafe clam bake too but even at 9pm people were stacked up outside waiting to be seated. I felt so bad for all the little tired kids I saw and missed my own even more!!!!

SO thanks for the ideas and if I can help anyone out let me know!

Best breakfast in EPCOt resort area is over at the Swan. It is a buffet, hot and wonderful. (Garden Grove/Gullivers...the name changes for breakfast/dinner). They usually have quite a few business people in there along with the tourists, no reservations needed. No dining plans accepted.
