Early March crowds?

We currently have a trip planned for December of this year, but are thinking of waiting until the first or second week of March. My SO and I are big baseball fans and want to catch an Astros Spring training game in kissimmee.

What are the crowds like the first two weeks of March? Will that be early enough to miss Spring break?

We were there the first week of March 2003. The crowds were not bad at all!!! I think it's a great time to go! We were originally going to go that same time next year, but we've moved our trip up into mid-Feb. which will save us money as it's value season... Anyway, I have found from reading these boards that hardly anyone has spring break before the second week in March. So if you go, the first week will be your best bet.

We went the first week of March 2004. It was terrific. It was actually chilly the first day we were there--only about 45 degrees the first morning. It warmed up later though--but not so hot as to be uncomfortable.

The crowds were great. We didn't have to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for anything. I'm planning another trip for the same time next year.
