Considering early June trip with DW and two DD(6/8-6/13). Always have gone in late fall or after Thanksgiving. This year no way so we are considering a early June trip. My question is what are the parks like during this week? I know they will be more crowded but how much more?

Disneyrunner,

I'm making my fourth June trip to Disney after enjoying the fall the last couple of years. To my memory, it's lighter crowds than July, but heavier than late September. You'll find prices, lines, and weather reasonable. There is a pretty good chance of rain most afternoons. Overall, we find it a good time because it's after Spring Break and high school class trips, but before the end of the school year. You're getting close to Gay Week, but you're missing the bulk of it. We'll be hitting right in the thick of it, which means we'll avoid MK Saturday due to crowds and PI Friday and Saturday nights. No biggie. Just know the Gay Week crowd is on the young side and therefore loud. It's not as bad as spring break, but the bars do hit capacity. But beyond your first two days, your crowds should be pretty mellow.

WE ARE GOING TO WDW IN JUNE. WE'RE BIG LILO AND STITCH FANS. WE'VE BEEN TOLD BY WDW PEOPLE THAT L&S ARE NOT AT ANY CHARACTER BREAKFASTS. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY PLANS TO ADD THEM? ARE LILO AND STITCH IN ANY OF THE PARKS?
THANKS:rolleyes:

Hey-you will be there the same time as us!! We will be in the World 6/7-6/16:Pinkbounc . We went during the same time last year and found the crowds very manageable. We only used FP a couple of times and the longest line we waited in was not over 40 minutes. It did rain every day-some days more than others-but even that was not a problem.

Last summer Lilo and Stitch were in the back behind the animation tour. There was a trail to follow to get to where they were. I believe that it was also detailed on the listing of where and when all the characters would be out.

Stitch51: When you go to MGM, ask, ask, ask!!! You'd be surprised how much you can find out by asking the CMs. Some are so nice and extremely helpful.

We wanted to find Mary Poppins one year. The piano player at Casey's in MK bent over backwards for us to try and find out where she would be. When he found out that she wouldn't be in MK, he wrote down our name and address (on a tiny piece of paper) and said he would have an autographed picture sent to us. When we got home, we forgot all about it. About 6 mos. later, lo and behold, there was the picture!! Another magical disney moment.

We have been to the world several times in June. Our experience has been that the first week of June the crowds are fairly light and it's very manageable using fastpass for the e-ticket rides. the second week of June, the crowds will start to pick up considerable, especially towards the end of the second week. you must use fastpass effectively during this period for the major attractions(R&R, test track, splash mountain). Be aware that during busy times, even the fastpass tickets can all be gone by 2pm on these attractions or say you get your fastpass at 2, the return time might not be until 7 or 8 pm! You can expect the weather to be hot & humid and you will probably have at least some rain each and every day with some days being mostly rain. don't let it get you down....just put on the poncho and have fun. you will notice quite a difference in crowd levels as compared to september or october, but, with EE and fastpass, it is easily managed.

Great Mary Poppins story. :D We will be there the first week of June. We have never been to the World when the weather is warm, so we are excited about being able to swim. Not worried at all about Gay Week.

We saw Lilo and Stitch the last two times we went to Animal Kingdom. (Nov. and Jan.) My 18 year old DD just had to get her picture taken with Stitch!!
