Early June crowds

I have put off posting this hoping to be able to search, but I am out of patience.

So, how are crowds normally in early June? Do you think the Carsland opening will affect crowds in the weeks before? Will they be worse, better, the same? I know nobody can know for sure, just looking for opinions. Thanks

Assuming there are not soft openings to bring people in. Early June is fairly nice. Weekends starting with Friday night are busy. The 14th is going to be very busy because DCA is closes so everyone is going to DL that day.

The other thing that will add crowds as each day goes on is Grad Nites. On the 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 12, 13th and 14th.

Oh good! I wasn't sure if the crazy summer crowds started that soon or not.
We will be there the 3-5, and maybe a partial day the 6th. So we should have at least 2 days that are not busy with the weekend or grads.

June 4 and 5 is when the SoCal Select AP holders get their last chance to visit before then end of summer, so I would expect larger crowds especially later in the day. The SoCal AP gets mon-wed for all of June and I would watch out for that.

You will experience LOTS of school groups -- like tweens and teens visiting for thei 8th grade graduation, etc. The groups wear matching shirts so they are easy to spot. Our experience is that some were nice but many would "race us" to try and get in line at attractions before us. I mean, many times, they'd come flying past me and my two little daughters to ensure they made it in line before us. Ugh...

Crowds were definitely manageable, and I've been there at other times of the year when it has been MUCH busier.

I agree with all of the previous posts. We went the first week of June before and it was manageable. I do remember the school groups (with matching shirts) and it got busier as the weekend approached (we went Mon-Fri). I'm not sure what this year will bring, but our past experience was very pleasant. We especially liked the weather.......locals called it June Gloom, but for our Pac NW area family, it was heavenly! Temps were in the mid 70's most of the time, with morning clouds and afternoon sun. We would definitely go again at that time if our schedules allowed. I'm sure you'll have a great time!!

The 10th will be busy, it's a Sunday. The 11th pretty good.

The 12th a Grad Nite. This day will get busy as the day goes on. With more Grads done with school they will not miss school to arrive earlier. Still some won't arrive until later.

I'm there June 5-9. I thought I would be able to enjoy the lighter crowds between Memorial Day and school getting out, and beating the June 15 re-launch of DCA. Then I discovered that I have to contend with Grad Night on 3 of my nights; and Disney VIP parties at DCA/Carsland on 2 nights. I was hoping to beat the summer crowds, but it looks like I put myself in the middle of a mess. And the worst part is the Matterhorn is closed

I'm not too worried about the crowds the 3rd, 4th and 5th....from a historical perspective a few sites are saying the crowds on those dates will be around a 4.7 on a scale of 10....

When I checked Touring Plans the 3rd and 4th, it showed 5 and 6.7 for crowd level. The 4th and 5th are blocked out on the $99 So Cal 2-day ticket deal and that is because, like mentioned above in the thread, the So Cal select AP holders can only visit in June on those two days. I would expect heavy crowds for these days.

Still 5 and 6.7 don't seem "heavy" maybe moderate....I would think heavy crowds would be in the 8-9 range.

Even with the SoCal AP days, some California schools aren't out yet, which should help and just the fact that it's a Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully!

I hope I'm wrong, I'll be there those two days, too! I'm telling everybody in the family it will be really crowded just in case! If not, they will be happy. I think we will have lots of school groups and locals. Oh, and if you look on the June thread, lots of Disboarders!
