We are planning on making our first visit to the "darkside" next June. My 11 year old son is becoming quite the coaster fan so we decided it was time to finally visit Universal - it also does not hurt that we are big HP fans and are anxious to check that area out as well.
We are currently planning to stay onsite and visit the parks on June 6-7. I know we will have Express pass and that is great but I am worried about the HP expansion. Even though it would be cool to see the new area I really would not be too thrilled to have to deal with crowds of that size for our first ever Universal visit. I saw the pictures from last time
! I know there is no opening date but have there been any rumors that it might be open that early in the summer? I would like to try to avoid it but I cannot really change my dates any earlier either. Does Universal do soft openings for their rides - will lots more people be there hoping for it to open early?
