Early Flights and Magical Express

I just rechecked our departure flight from Orlando and it is 7:00AM (the only option that fit...at the time). Is it true that with ME you have to be at the airport 3 hours ahead of time? If so, I think we may just have to take a cab because we will be up late the night before at the Christmas Party.

Yes this is true. In September our ME bus was at 5 AM. Yikes, we made it though!

Just to be clear - they won't get you to the airport 3 hours ahead of time, the will pick you up 3 hours ahead of time. When you factor in the stops at other resorts and the time to drive to the airport, you'll be there ~1.5 to 2 hours ahead of time.

When My 7 am flight left Orlando last Feb ME picked us up at 3:45... and they were very prompt left whether you were on the bus or not...

Had a flight out of MCO at 8:20 this morning ME was pulling out of our hotel at 5:30 and we made no other stops. This is the 3rd or 4th time that we have used ME and that has been the only downside for us. Sadly it is back to reality......

Sleep the day before, stay up all night after the party, catch the bus? Other transportation won't give you much more time to sleep, if that's what you chose to do - maybe a half hour? You still need to allow for traffic, and for long security lines. Yes, even at 5 AM - yours won't be the only plane leaving that early Or, take turns napping at the airport if you have time?

Actually the longest lines I have ever seen at MCO were for the 7 am flight so I would not cut it too close no matter what you choose.

I think you should take the free ME. You could only leave an hour later to guarantee being there on time so why not save the money? A cab will probably run you around 50.00.

I think I remember hearing that 50% of all flights out of Orlando depart prior to 9am.
