Early flight - what time for DME?

We have a 9:00 am flight on our departure day sad1.

What time will we have to check in our luggage and what time will we leave on the bus?

You will have to catch the bus three hours before your flight give or take. You have to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior.
I believe the bags check in starts at 5 am

DME will leave an envelope on your door the morning before you check out. It will give you all the info on the pick up time and about checking bags at the resort. In general, the pick up is 3hrs prior to flight time and as mentioned you need to be at the stop, ready to go at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. So if resort checking bags be there even earlier than that.....9am flight, I would be at the RAC counter no later than 5:30am. Also, if you have to pay for your checked bags you must do that the day before.

If you want to use RAC, you have to be completely finished with the process at least 3 hours before your flight - no exceptions. I would be at the desk no later than 5:15.

You DME pickup will be scheduled for about 3 hours before your flight (assuming you're flying domestic - it's 4 hours for international flights.) The time they assign you is the time the bus leaves, so make sure you're there at least 15 minutes before that.

my flight out of MCO is 7:30 AM!! so looks like im not going to bed the night before!! lol i hate myself for booking that one!! lol

If I were you, I would go to the park that has EMH the night before and stay there until the park closes.

Ours is at 8. We ended up with a rental car for this trip but we're still going to want to get there for 6 or 6:30

I think the plan is to go to bed early. Hopefully we'll be worn out from the week enough that we fall asleep by 9 or so.

I had a 9:15 am departure, and my ME "be on the bus" time was 6:15 am. They were right on time.

To clarify something about the Remote Check-in BAGS service: In Feb, I was planning to lug my suitcase on the bus because I did not want to hassle with having to call somewhere a day ahead to pay my baggage fee over the phone (I flew American). When I came out to wait for the ME bus on my departure morning, the VERY nice gentleman at the RAC outside the Beach Club asked me if I wanted to check in/check my bag - he was able to charge my baggage fee on my credit card AT the RAC counter right then. I'm not sure if this is always the case - I've read conflicting info on paying the BAGS fee - but that was my recent experience.

Your pick up time will be around 3:00 am. You won't be able to check your bags with RAC beforehand, so you'll have to take them with you to the airport.

Just to give a few details on RAC requirements...

Bag checkin must be COMPLETE no later than 3 hours before departure.
You can only check bags for flights THAT DAY.
RAC is only open from 5AM-1PM.
You do NOT need to utilize DME to check bags at the resort.

So, if your flight is before 8:30AM, you MUST take your bags with you.

Thanks! That early flight is such a better deal, plus we'll get home in time to go food shopping for the week. Bringing our own bags isn't a deal breaker since we don't pack heavy. Considering....!
