Pretty close to that - maybe 10 minutes before they'll start letting folks thru, but not much before the actual EE start time all the times we've been there.

Thanks, was wondering the same thing for next week. Our first morning, we'll be coming from Endless Summer. trying to figure out what time to be at the bus stop, how much time to allow at security, etc. Want to be there as early as possible!

Haven't stayed at Endless Summer but we've stayed several times at Cabana Bay & usually headed to the bus stop about an hour before EE start time as we don't like to feel rushed & that put us not too far from the front. The bus service is fantastic - they roll one after another after another !

When we went in Jan it was 10-15 mins before park open that the gates opened and they started scanning people through.

It's also only a 15 minute walk from Surfside to the Universal Parking Garage over the bridge if you want to get to City Walk really early. The Security Gates open time at City Walk is the most important time reference.

Walking from HRH the security gates in the pathway opened exactly one hour before EE. The turnstiles open 5/10 minutes before official EE. Use any empty turnstiles and if you can be at the front the CMs will scan your entire family’s tickets/fingers prior to the turnstiles opening, so that as soon as the park opens you are straight through.

I heard that AP holders with early access can get a few day guest in with them. Is that still the case? My family has 5 AP and my brothers family of 4 will be joining us.

We've been AP holders for several years & I've never heard of this - I know you can get a discount on multi-day tickets for guests (15%) - but not getting them into the park during EE.

Turnstiles at IoA opened this morning about 650. We took the bus from Surfside. We got on around 6:10 or just a little earlier. . We were in line at IoA by 625. I think we were on the second bus from surfside . The great majority of folks went to Hagrids.

We will also be there next week at Surfside Buses start running at 6AM on early admission days. We have 4 park days and 2 of those days we have EP's, so we may only do early mornings a couple of times. We will see once we are there. I will totally agree with a previous post that US buses are GREAT.

Yesterday turnstiles opened again at 6:50, 10 mins before EE started.
