Early Entry through IG ?

I am so excited!! We are coming next weekend for a Quick Trip to the F & G Festival!! DH is a advid gardner and I know he will love it. I had tried to book the Gardens of the World Tour for our Tuesday, but it was sold out.
I called back today and there was availability!!! I am delighted

My question: We need to check in at Guest Relations at the front of FW a little before 9 AM. How early can I enter through the IG? I need to allow enough time to walk through the park and not be late for my tour.
Will this work out?

Yes you should be able to enter through IG early, a CM should be there with a list of those with reservations for tours and ADRs.

Is it open as early as 8:30?
How long shall I plan it to take, if I walk at a normal pace, from the IG to Guest Relations at the Main Entrance?

If I recall from playing around with Google Earth in the past, it's about a 1/2 mile walk from the IG to the front gate. The amount of time would depend on your walking pace.

The IG would be open before 8:00, because they need to admit people heading for the Princess Breakfast at Norway. Those seatings start at 8:00.

BTW... don't go to the wrong Guest Relations. Don't go to the one next to Spaceship Earth. The tour group meeting area is outside the park. It's between the bag-check fence and the turnstiles. You'll see a small blue sign that says something like, "Tours meet here."

So I would actually leave the park to go to the tour meeting area?
We did a Segway Tour several years ago and we met at the one by Spaceship Earth. That was the one I was thinking of.

Oh, now you have me doubting myself. We've taken 4 or 5 tours at Epcot, and while most of them met outside at the location I described, now that you mention it, there was 1 Disney Institute tour that met inside.

I'll just leave early enough to be able to find it, whichever it is, in plenty of time.

I think you're right. I saw the "Tours" sign last month when entering Epcot.
