I am going to be in Orlando for a conference in October. We will have one prenight that I want to do Disney with. We arrive at 1:00 PM on October 8th and plan on doing Magic Kingdom that day until closing. On October 9th we plan on doing Animal Kingdom until we have to check into our conference at 3:00 PM. My question is, Magic Kingdom has early entry on the 9th, if I arrived at Magic Kingdom by 7:30 AM could I get a couple of attractions done and still get to Animal Kingdom close to 9:00 AM? Has anyone done this before?

No. It can take up to an hour to get from MK to AK and MK doesn't open till 8. I doubt many, if any, AK busses will be running that early, so you may have to wait a long time for a AK bus.

No, you probably couldn't make rope drop at AK, but in October you may not have to. Check the crowd calendars for those datas and if AK is recommended. If so, even if you got there by say 10:00 it still wouldn't be too crowded. If you use your FP+ for AK as well then there is not too much to worry about.

I assume you are staying on-site for the early hours? Is the conference at Coronado Springs? I stayed there recently and it is very nice, but also quite large, so give yourself some extra time for the busses (if you are using them).
