Early entry blockout dates Power Pass

I am considering purchasing annual passes for the first time but noticed that the Preferred pass has early entry blockout dates. As I will be in parks from 1st to 4th Jan I assume there is a good chance those dates will be blocked. I will be staying at Hard Rock Hotel though so will I still get early entry as part of hotel benefit no matter what type of annual pass i have?

I assume also I can buy them anytime and they will apply for 2022 effective from my first park date in January

Yep, all onsite hotels including Hard Rock get the 1 hour Early Admission to whatever park(s) it is being offered & yes, you can buy any time but your "clock" won't start ticking until your first use of the AP .
