Early-Early Roll call.... 4-28-07 Eastern

Floridagram, I probably looked right at you a few times and didn't know who you were!

Anyone noticed the family that disembarked in st. thomas right before the ship pulled off? We were on the side of the gangway and watched as people came in on taxis and running with their strollers all the way up to very, very last moment. Then we saw a young family with 2 small children leave with their suitcases into a taxi. I hope nothing bad happended.

I saw them too. I thought it was a cast member and his family becuase he was wearing a baby blue polo shirt and khaki's just like Pikey and the rest of the crew members.:confused3 There were 2 guys that also looked like crew members leave at the last minute into a taxi before leaving St. Maarten too.

Ugh, it's Tuesday night and I haven't even started my trip report!

Did anyone happen to videotape the sail away party - I didnt have my camera and Julia got pulled up on stage - I would love to have that or even a picture of it!!!

Those of you on deck 2 or an inside cabin, how small were those rooms? We were in a balcony but it felt pretty small to me. There was only about 1 foot on either side of the bed and then the couch and desk and tv across from it. There was room for a coffee table but it was always in the way when I tried to sit at the bench for the desk. DH and I had tomove out of each others way sometimes. So I am thinking I could go more often with a smaller (cheaper) room and it might not be so bad.

We were on deck 2 and very happy. It was originally a trade - for a verandah room I was able to trade for 2 deck 2 rooms with outside views. It worked out very well, as we had a little elbow room and could separate the kids when needed.

Anyone else on deck 2 have Margaret as their hostess - she was awesome!!! She really made the trip special very day - coming and going.

Overall it was an awesome experience. The only 'complaint' is that it took till about Thursday before we really figured out that you dont have to run and do everything all at once - we finally kicked back, fell into a slower rythm towards the end of the trip and went home feeling relaxed.

I was relived to read that I wasnt the only one with 'feeling the waves' well into this week. I spent two days at the Boardwalk after the cruise and loved the wind-down. But the first night I woke up VERY seasick in the hotel room - until I turned on the light and got my bearings and coinvinced myslef that the hotel was NOT swaying. (And no, it wasnt the mojitos!!!)

Loved it, loved it. Will do it again. Went on-line and priced, but I am still deliberating. Would like to do the Magic again as there were some really memorable castmembers that I would like ot see again.

More later - keep posting the trip reports - they are fun to read and I am not ready to 'let go' yet!!!

The space around the bed is limited but you get used to it. The same three of us are booked on the eastbound Panama Canal trip in August 2008 in an inside cabin. We would rather go more often in the smaller cabin.

This was part of our rationale for doing two cruises within a month of each other. When it was all said and done, our two inside staterooms cost less than one verandah room when I was pricing out the trips. The inside staterooms are small, but other than sleeping and showering, we were never in them.

I did not see the people leaving the ship, but we did run into one person getting on the ship. My DD, DS, Sis, Dad and I were returning to the ship at St. Marteen after a few hours at the little beach by the shops. We got on the elevator with a gentleman rolling a garment bag and briefcase. After exchanging hello's, my dad goes and says "You are the president of the Disney Cruise Line". I was shocked when the man said "Yes I am". He asked how my dad knew who he was, and Dad replies that he has seen him on the shows on the Travel Channel and the recent announcement of the two new ships.

He asked if we were having a good time and of course we said "YES!!!" He then got off on Deck 3. How cool was that !!!! He must have boarded the ship to take the Magic to Europe for the summer.

How cool was that, we got to meet the man in charge!!! Kudos to Dad for remembering.

On another note - I just uploaded my pictures onto Snapfish. I took 423 pictures. Oh My !!!! I really need to pair that down a little. The album I bought onboard only holds 200 - Or I could just go on another cruise to buy another album - :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (That would be the DH rolling on the floor laughing at me)

Unbeknownst to DH and I, Delorean Girl, her DH, myself, and my DH were all on the winning team for the Adult Disney Trivia Contest!!! :cool1:

Unfortunately we didn't realize it until today. I wish we would have known that at the time :confused3
