DH and I have tickets for MVMCP on 11/29/16. Plan to leisurely view the Xmas decorations during the day at the monorail resorts, and want to eat around 2:00 PM in this area, before heading over to MK around 3:30 to get in for the party. Don't want to spend time eating at the party, so thought we could fill up before. Have reviewed ALL of the menus, at all of the resorts, and nothing is really grabbing me. Just canceled an ADR for the Grand Floridian café, since I just realized that the burger with lobster is not served during this time. Darn!
Any suggestions for a good menu/restaurant-CS or TS- for this afternoon?
Thank you friends!

OK, so per your recommendations, I just booked an ADR at Kona Café for 2:00 PM. Not a big fan of sweet things, but..... I do love my Dole whips, so guess I will be forced to get one before heading over to MK for the party! thank you!

We have same thoughts, going to party same night! Having lunch at liberty tree at 215pm.

I saw that you choose Kona which is a great choice, however I did think of another one that might be interesting Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. We love the Christmas decorations here, just puts you that holiday state of mind. Then you could boat over to MK for the party.

I asked this last week and got lots of responses. We books Whispering Canyon for 2:00PM after lots of good reviews. I agree that the menus weren't grabbing me either! Plus Ohana and 1900PF don't serve at that time. I've also heard about great decorations at Wilderness Lodge so that's exciting to me

It isnt'?!!! Where did you find that out? Last time we had lunch there (this past spring), that's what I had and it was delicious! I was actually going to recommend GF Cafe based on that! That is bad news, indeed! We did have a decent lunch at Kona this summer, or WCC is probably as good an option as any.

We ate at The Wave (2pm reservation) before going to MVMCP last year. The food was really good, the atmosphere relaxing, and the price didn't break the bank. We had a leisurely meal, changed into our holiday garb, and strolled over to MK. The CMs let us in the park around 3:45. It was nice to be so close to the park, and to not have to depend on the monorail to get us to MK on time!

I was double checking my ADR's yesterday and when I looked at the lunch menu on the WDW site for GF café, it no longer had the lobster burger! That burger was precisely why I chose the GF café for that day! If they bring it back to the menu, and we can't get in, I will be sooooo bummed! The lunch menu now is more of a brunch menu. My husband would have loved that burger- me too! Please correct me if I am wrong about this, but as of last night, this is what I saw.
I already have an ADR for Trails End for an early-ish dinner one evening, mostly because I want to see the holiday decorations. Have read that even the campsites are decked out and thought that would be fun to see! Also, have read we can see Wishes from there. And, my husband will enjoy the menu there, which I believe is the same/similar to WCC. This trip is just us two "old folks", so don't need characters and dinner shows. :love2:
