Early Dec Waitlist

We all know how popular the first week of December is for DVCers and I was curious as to how many of us are waitlisted (particularly during the home resort priority window)

We are waiting for:
BLT, 1BR, STD or LV (told no 1br at any view available at all)
12/5 - 12/10
Went on waitlist March 18 (this is when we did our BLT add-on to get 11 mo window)

What are you waiting for???

We are waitlisted for a treehouse the 5th-10th or the 6th-10th. We originally planned to travel the week of Christmas as we have done in the past, so we were late in calling by a few weeks.

I am currently booked in a 1BR SV at AKV from Dec 4-12. I'm hoping to switch to a different resort at 7 months (and will likely have to waitlist).

My guess is that as people start moving around at the 7 month mark, you may get lucky and get your waitlist choice since you've been on the waitlist earlier than the 7-month people.

I absolutely agree things will most likely start moving once the 7 mo. window opens and we have no problem staying most anywhere.

BUT... for people who do have a favorite or a "must stay" resort, I think this is really becoming one of those weeks where "Buy where you want to stay" is more meaningful than ever.

I bought in 1999 and it was a popular time even back then. I wanted to stay the first week of December at BWV, I had the choice of OKW or BWV at the time, liked both but bought at BWV to get the 11 month window for that week. I planned on OKW for Mother's Day, which was never a problem at 7 months.

We have a 1 bedroom lake view at BLT reserved 12/12-12/15 but we are waitlisted for a studio MK view. Let the waiting begin.

Well ours isn't the first week in Dec but we are booked in a 2 bd standard view at Kidani from the 19-26 and we are waitlisted for a 1bd Conc at AKL. We had originally booked a 1bd standard to save points when the 11 month window opened. But DH agreed to an add on when we were there in March so now have extra points I need to use to start our new vacation plan with our SSR and AKL contracts.

I am going to release a Two bedroom at VWL for Dec 7,8,9. My daughter has checked the school schedule and these dates are not going to work, just in case anyone is waitlisted.
