early Dec experts/Osbourne Lights

We were there the first year that they had the lights and walked down a very uncrowded street to enjoy them. The other 2 or 3 times we have went we have been herded down the aisle like a bunch of cattle to market. Now it seems that we got there about when it openned for the night. Does anyone have a plan for not being herded? Right before it closes? During fantasmic? A certain day?

I think they way it was set up last year made it easier. I didn't have that herding feeling. When they first did the Osborne lights I hated how they had you walking.

I would like to suggest that you hold off on going until your 2 daughters can go with you, then they can enjoy the lights with you.

We can't wait to see them this year (our 1st time in Dec.) Somewhat confused as to timing though...

We have a Fantasmic pkg @ H&V for 3:50 p.m. Can I assume we'll have time to see the lights after we eat, before Fantasmic?

Do the lights get turned on when it gets dark (5:30?).

How long does it take to "tour" the lights?

If, for some strange reason we don't make it to the lights before Fantasmic, will we be able to see them afterwards. The last time I checked, the park is scheduled to close @ 8:00 p.m & Fantasmic is scheduled for 7:00 the night we're there. TIA

Yes you can go see the lights after fantasmic. we did it last year.

They turn them on at 6:00. I don't think you'll have time before Fantasmic.

If you're not going to Fantasmic, I think the best time is 6:45-7:00, after the initial crowds have gone through.
