So on our MK night we really wanted to do crystal palace dinner but i was only able to get a 3:55 time..
its really too early but I want a character dinner in park if possible or a monorail resort...

I was just able to grab a 650 at chef mickeys. I just can't decide which one will work better for the over all timing of the night.
With all the christmas parties this is one of the only nights to catch MK fireworks so MK is the only option.

which should I go with?
thanks for any help!

I agree with PP. That 6:50 at Chef Mickey's will put you back at MK around 8:30 or later. If HEA is at 9:00, you'll be pushing your way through the crowds to see it. If HEA is 9:30 or 10:00, then I might consider it. Personally, I think CP is a better meal. I would probably grab some cereal bars for breakfast, then have an early lunch around 10:45-11:00 so I would be hungry again at 4:00.

Your CM ADR is pretty late for little kids (I assume the one in your avatar will be accompanying you.) CP is probably the better choice, and I think the food might be just a touch better there. :earsboy:

I would pick CP over CM's for food and fun plus more convenient if you are already in MK or staying there for the evening. I know Cm's is just a monorail ride away but it does take time to exit, and ride over and then re-enter the parks. Keep checking for a later ADR for CP's too, something might just pop up! Although I think an almost 4:00 might be nice, on the early side of the dinner rush so shouldn't have to wait long to be seated! Think you will have more usable time with this adr - you'll be out and still able to do a few things in MK before fireworks!

I would stick with CP. I think that if you want to stay for fireworks you may appreciate the break late afternoon, and you will not need to leave the park. I like a late lunch/early dinner at times. You can relax and enjoy the character interaction without looking at the time because you ahve someplace else to be, and by the time you stake out your spot for the show you can enjoy a snack while waiting.

I like CM and generally book that restaurnat on our arrival night if we have newbies or kids with us, but I would not leave the park to dine there if I planned to return.

We eat all kind of crazy times at Disney. CP was slow for character interactions but based on what you want to accomplish I wouldn't waste my times going to chef mickeys.

I have to add that CP is one of the meals my DH is still talking about 10 years later. Never mind the food, which was good but I doubt he remembers, he had so much fun with teh characters and the server, who had perfected the balance between professional and friendly demeanor.

We had a great meal and were relaxed with our second wind in place to go out and enjoy teh evening entertainment.
