Hi all, I am new to the boards here but I figured this was the best place to ask. My fiance and I are headed down to Disney for our honeymoon and are wondering if it is possible to check in to the POR earlier than 3PM? We are arriving at 11AM and don't want to waste a second! :D Also, on our check out day, our flight doesn't leave until 6PM so would passes still be good early that morning and even after we check out at 11AM (which I think the official check out time is.) Thanks in advance!

PS Sorry, I tried to search for another thread like this and couldn't dig one up. So if this is a repost, my apologies.

Rooms are seldom ready for early check in but you might luck out and have your room ready. Ususally they are ready around 4pm.

Even if it's not ready you still check in, get your passes and they will hold your luggage in storage. You can run off to the parks and come back later and then they will bring your luggage to your room.

Your pass is good your entire stay from the moment you check in until midnight of the day you check out.

We almost always check-in early and only one time was our room NOT ready for us. Even then, we were checking into the Beach Club concierge and they stored our luggage and we had access to the lounge immediately. So, you never know, but no matter what, Disney will make it easy for you. You can leave your bags at the resort and then head off to the parks. Enjoy and congratulations!princess:

lmiskowicz,

WELCOME to the DIS

vacationwoman, is correct doesn't matter what time you check-in you can get you tickets and Resort ID then be on your way...they will give you a card that has the telephone # to call and check on your room being ready. Then you will just go to your room and call bellservices and they will bring your luggage.

We usually arrive at our resort between 9:30-10:00...we take the 6am flight out of Philly and I think our room has been ready at least half the time! It really has been a 50/50 split. One time I think they gave us a room b/c DD was vomitting!!! But there seems to be no rhyme or reason...but I'm always happy when it is ready! Check in as early as possible...I've also read it is easier to get an upgrade etc when you check in early. The other posters answered your other questions. Have fun!

thank you all very much for your timely responses! This makes me feel a little easier about our time.

Early check-in are good for two reasons. One, you could get the room you requested, unload and head off to the parks immediately. Two, an early check-in can get you an upgrade. In my experience, if you are cordial and polite when you're told you can't get into your room early, then I have been told that if I would like to wait a while then I can get a room that is one or two(happened once) grades above what you're paying for.

Whatever happens though, Hey, you're at WDW!

I have check in as early as 9 am and as late as 2 pm. The best way is to send a room request prior to your arrival. At least 48 hours. Let them know you are coming in at a certain time and you would like it if they would have a room available. They will try their best to accomodate you. On the morning of your check out, call the front desk and request a late check out. They may give you an hour or two or three depending on how crowded it is. Good luck.
